So...Who Here's Been In Jail?
A lot of us already know that MkSheppard's spent some time behind bars, and today we learned that Frank Hipper's also been in jail too. Just curious, anyone else here spend any time in the slammer? Is there anyone here who's posting from inside a jail (no, a shit job in a cubical doesn't count)?
I spent some time in jail myself waiting to get bailed out on assault charges, charges that were later thrown out in court.

Say, do you want it to be a threesome with your wife? Or a foursome with your wife and sister-in-law? I'm up for either.

Okay, I'll bite.
~30 hours in Orleans Parish Prison (what a fucking hellhole, too!) for Criminal Vandalism (which by the time I was able to plead were reduced to Trespassing). I decided to plead guilty, because, well, I was in the building, and I was destroying things. No reason to try to lie to the Judge. I never wanna go back to OPP again...

I haven't, but my sister has. Her and my BF were arrested and jailed for assault and excessive force after 3 of her asshole classmates tried to beat them up while they were out for a walk in the woods. From what I heard 1 of those jerks showed up in court in a wheelchair and another was on crutches, serves them right for what they did. My sister & BF had the charges thrown out in court thanks to a judge who thankfully had common sense left in him, but yeah, it was pretty freaky getting a phone call from my parents informing me my sister and BF were behind bars.

All I know is that Dad, being a law enforcement officer, said that if he ever caught me doing something illegal, he would take me to the jail, throw me in, let me set there a couple days, THEN tell the judge to throw the book at me...
And he is quite sincere...

This all happened BEFORE I got into Quake 3. In fact, it all happened before I bought Quake *2*! I got my Quake Addiction a few months after meeting Dave (my husband) two years ago. The jail time was BEFORE I met Dave. Yeesh! Get it now?

I was waiting at a bus stop after a visit to the dentist, because I knew the Novacain would fuck me up, too much to drive once, when the whole bus stop got sweeped by L.A. county's anti-drug task force. I got as far as the station, where I showed the booking Sargent my Doctor's orders & Perscription sheet. He made them drive me to the Pharmacy and back "Home".

Clean as a whistle. The only time I've seen the inside of a police station was on an educational field trip.

When I was enlisted in the Coast Guard, I drove up to n. Alabama one winter to pick up a Karmann Ghia with my friend. On the way back down to Florida, it snowed around Birmingham, and my VW Bus spun off the road. A tow-truck pulled me out (for a not-so-nominal fee), and since I hadn't located my friend yet, I went to the local police station to get word on him. It was pretty late at night/early in the morning, so I was tired. The cops let me lie on one of the jail cell bunks, where I took a three-hour nap. That's as close as I've come to being in jail.

I've come close, but the local cops didn't feel like chasing us.

Same with me. The guide was a family friend, though, so he jokingly locked me in solitary when everyone else walked out, so I guess I've spent 5 minutes behind bars . Most memorable thing was talking to a man who was pleading guilty to three counts of first-degree murder. He was actually a very reasonable-sounding man, told us to make sure not to screw up our lives like he had done with his.Darth Wong wrote:Clean as a whistle. Never here. I almost got taken to jail a few times with some friends of mine but they decided to go easy on us and let us off from it getting anymore serious. Quite stupidly, one of my friends started arguing with one of the officers though -_-
