Here we have a perfect oppertunity to terminate a man before he starts killing tens of thousands of innocent people as dictators often do. Should use one of those long range sniper rifles. It could save lives, but then the moral question comes if one life is worth taking to save hundreds?

"What I mean, sir, is if you was to put me with this here sniper rifle anywhere up to and including one mile from Adolf Hitler... with a clean line of sight... well, pack your bags, boys. War's over."

I never understood this. Why is okay to leave a loser in power, killing thousands of his own people, sometimes starting wars where thousands of good soldiers die; rath than to line his worthless head up in the crosshairs and blow his brains out the otherside?

What exactly is the detriment for murderous assholes facing summary execution if they go too far over the line? Making martyrs? Retaliation? In either case I find it hard to beleive that either of those would be worse than offing a few of the worst SOB's in the world.

Does Bush invite insane tinpot dictators into America to "foster a political dialogue that could promote democracy and the rule of law?"

Mugabe is one of few leaders in this world whom a single bullet could fix but good.

There is a framework for democracy in place there unlike any other in the world. It might be the single circumstance in which a surgical strike could bear worthwhile fruit.

That's a bit unfair. The other African countries made pressure for him to come , and if you saw the moment they passed each other, chirac ignored him with despise. I bet old Mugabe felt insulted in his racist little heart.

Wasn't the entire EU pressuring to Chirac to not even allow this shithead into France?

The situation is quite interest.

Mugabe fumbled the ball quite badly. Unlike Hussein or Kim, he failed to watch out for his own. Most of his lackeys now starve between ever-decreasing shipments of food aid. They also pay a high price in blood for each round of political intimidation. It’s reaching the point that those in his inner circle are insisting Mugabe surrender. Many of his own nitwits and yes-men already insist that he’s ruined the economy beyond all repair and should step down or move out.

His saving grace was the Zimbabwe National Army, off for three years in the Congo Basin and suddenly back. Now, without having experienced the horrible privation of the country’s destitute millions, they are enforcing Mugabe’s directives as never before. But this too will pass away. He will fail to feed them also and engender hatred that will leave him quite on the hot coals.

Yes, that's why I said "a bit". Chirac is a jackass, that's a given, but he still humilliated Mugabe in public. That moment was priceless
