The uber loonie right wingers will at least answer your direct questions directly, albeit lies or untruths, but at least they will answer the FUCKING QUESTION! False analogies, wrong conclusion, and different interpetations of questionable data I can tolerate, with gritted teeth.

Nothing infuriates me more than a non sequiter, given as an answer to a legitamate question, and treated as legitamate debait.

Well, telling a bald faced LIE, and getting indignant about the very fact of being QUESTIONED, as to the truth of your statement, also gets my blood boiling.(How DARE you question ME, you, you, -racist, facist, homophobe-pic pejorative. Asking me a question is proof of your moral lacking!)

The caller was right to call the peace activist a "little girl."
Her inability to answer, or even ACKNOWLEGDE the question, coulpled with her giggling, made her seem like a child. Her demand to be taken seriously, while seemingly unaware of just how foolish/infuriating her evasiveness was, is an other sign of child logic.

The anti war arguements in this forum, while I don't hold them, are light years ahead of ANY arguement I have heared from mainstream leftist GROUPS.
The people here who disagree with me, (and there are MANY!) for the most part, are at least honest in there debaiting.

Edi come to mind. while we are light years apart in outlook, I respect him/her/ (don't know, don't matter anyhow) greatly.
As a result, I read 'is point 2 or 3 times, and let it sink in.
Enlightenment, on the other hand. Anyone who can't at least ONCE IN A WHILE, stop name calling, (shrubby, rumpfelt, condom skeeza lice, ect..)is very often ignored, as the intentional demonisation, and outright venom, turn off many a stomach.
Too bad, as a good person with bad manners will have less friends, and credibility, than an ok person who is not obnoxious. (like Ted)

I also had a great flash of education, from Wong, about the clash of our world views.

Perhaps it is a side effect of good leadership, from top down. Wong and the other mods are very intolerant of outright lies, and logical falacies.

Nope, people like this think in the same way, so they tend to stay around people who think (and unfortunately) say the same. Besides, standard operating procedure, spout the same thing over and over again, however inapropriate it is to any given situation.

One hint: people like me have jobs (although I'm not really what you'd call decidedly "anti-war" or "pro-war", so perhaps I'm not the best example). Anyway, people like them have free time for protest. That's why you won't find intelligent people in the anti-war protests; not because it's impossible to be intelligent and against the war, but because the kind of people who have time to run around protesting shit in the middle of the day are obviously not employable.

IMHO the Govt. should get all of their names removed from every Govt. welfare agency list. So they will have to make themselves employable or starve.

That should be the new economic plan: Get the war over with ASAP. Then, the protestors will have no choice but to get real jobs. Not only that, people will actually be able to get to work on time now that the streets aren't being blocked.
