A short blue mecha with a single red eye popped its head out from behind the squirrel. "Cool, man! Let's go check out engineering!"

Spartan Red-Five, or Mike to his friends, was crawling through the tunnels on this weird ship.

Strange, he thought, why would so many crictical systems be here, where anyone with the time can access them?

His thought were interrupted by someone climbing into the vent.

Leaning against the wall, R-5 activated his cloaking shield. He couldn't use it for long or it'd burn out, so he loaded a clip of shredder ammo into his rifle.

Gouf poked his head around another corner. *These tubes are so cool!* he thought. Peering through an opening, he spied a crewmember working on a datapad. Suppressing a chuckle, he extended his heat rod and poked the man on the shoulder. The man turned, to see nothing. Then, he felt a tap on his other shoulder. Turning comepletely around, the man was utterly confused when he saw no one. Tired of the game, Gouf snapped his heat rod and knocked the crewer out.

Darting off through another tube, Gouf was so busy suppressing his laughs, he ran right into something solid.

"Who in the hell are you?" Mike asked as he disengaged his cloaking shield.

Under normal circumstane he wouldn't have, but the optic net was getting dangerously hot.

Keeping his rifle on the newcomer, he pulled his heat-knife out, just in case it wanted an honour duel, like that last weirdo he encounter.

Gouf scrambled to his feet and shook his head to clear it. Blinking his big red eye, he siezed up the man who'd appeared out of thin air. He had some damn fine weapons, one of which was currently trained on Gouf's chest.

"I'm over here, Tyler!" Gouf called. "I found another guy creeping around the tubes!"

Gouf turned back to the big guy. "So, what's your name?"

"I got transported. Ran into something that looked like a crab with some big guns back there. The weapons should still be back that way if you want 'em. It challenged me to an honour duel or something."

Mike pointed, careful not to over do it in case he put his hand through the 'mecha's head.

"Oh, and I'm called Spartan-234. You can call me either Red-5 or Mike, which ever."

"OK Mike," Gouf said, rubbing his hands together. "Me and Tyler are planning on having a little fun around here. You free to join us if you want."

Gouf blinked. "Speaking of Tyler, I wonder where he got to." Gouf turned and walked back to the junction. "I'm gonna go find him. Come along if you want." Gouf set off in the directrion from which he'd heard Tyler's voice.

He runs over to a grating and points "Grade A female boyos"

"Female? Really?" Gouf jogged over and took a peek. "Holy shit dude!" he said, his eye nearly popping out of his head. "She's HOT!"

Unfortunately, Gouf and Tyler were putting too much weight on the flimsy metal, and it broke, dumping the two of the into 7 of 9's room.

"Owwwwwww" Gouf groaned. "Get your foot off my head!"

Mike engaged the field again, now that it had cooled down.

If that woman with metal bits over parts of her face tried anything to hurt his new friends, then the wall was going to acquire a new coat of blood-red.

Then he noticed the look on Tylers face and decided it was time to leave.

Stepping out into the corridor, he decided to find a way to contact FLEETCOM with news of where he was, which was on a ship of misfits that had been designed by someone who, as Tyler put it, had their head up their ass, and evaluate this ships potential threat to any vessel coming to retrieve him.

Bullet Squid rushed down the empty corridor towards the source of the crashing noise. She nearly tripped, and cursed the spike heels her feet were strapped in. "Damn it," she growled, "this definitely VANDAL's doing." She reached for the Kel-tec P32 strapped to her leg under her cocktail dress. "They probably have some kind of new teleporter or something, and dropped me into this sadistic deathmaze." Her mutterings were cut short as she saw a door open with a swish. She flattened herself against the wall beside the door, and felt a brush of air, as if someone had just passed her in a hurry. Before the door could close, she quickly stepped into the room with her gun at the ready. "Freeze!" she shouted.

If so, then your about to encounter a three-foot tall Gouf MS and a squirrel with a big mallet and an attitude

There was a green flash, and then Flynn Taggart fell from a height onto his head. He struggled to his feet.

"Stupid teleporting devices. Can't use friggin stairs, now can you, Satan. Gotta use teleporters. Fucker," he muttered, "Hey, this isn't hell!"

He glanced around a well-lit corridor. The floor was red carpet, the walls were gray, and there were some stupid looking people staring at him. They saw a man, about six feet tall, two hundred pounds, in green combat armor and carrying a small armory. None of them looked very surprised, as if random soldiers teleporting into their ship was a normal occurrence.

Then a few guys in yellow made a bad decision. They tried to stop Flynn, and with their bare hands.

"Not good enough!" Taggart shouted. He punched one across the jaw, breaking that bone and knocking the fellow out cold. The other one tried to draw a dustbuster of some sort, but Taggart grabbed him by the hair and slammed his head into the wall before he could free his weapon.

Then alarms started going off.

Gouf grunted and scrambled to his feet for the second time in ten minutes. Then, he looked up into the face of the blond woman. "Identify yourself," she said flatly.

"Uh, I'm Gouf," he said. "And this is Tyler. Who are you?"

"I am Seven of Nine."

"Uh...huh," Gouf said.

"How did you access this area?"

"Well, we fell," Gouf answered, indicating the broken panel.

"How did you enter the Jeffries tube?"

*Jeez, this lady has the personality of a rock,* Gouf thought.

"Uh, like this!" Gouf grabbed Tyler with one hand, and witht the other, fired his heat rod up into the tube. The rod wrapped itself a cable, pulling the two adventureurs back into the tube and away from the woman's scrutinizing glare.


As Gouf pulled Tyler to safety, he head the woman's voice: "This is Seven of Nine, intruder alert. *Aw, shit," Gouf thought.

Gouf cracked his knuckles, an interesting sound effect since his fingers were made of steel. "Yeah, but damn, no personality, none at all. It's like talking to a freaking computer." Gouf scratched at one of his shoulder spikes. "Let's go see who else we can harrass, k?" he asked, a mischevious tone in his voice.

Mike uplinked to the console in front of him, transferring his companion AI, an ONI unit, Beowulf, into the ships sytems.

"Minimal encryption detected on communication protocols. Acessing now."

Mike shook his head. These people would just get eaten alive by the Covenant.
