What if Bill Gates...

What if the big man decided he wanted to send all of Microsoft's money and technology to Iraq, for Sadaam to do with as he pleased. Would that provide Iraq with the technology and money they need to develop some sort of feasible counter-attack that could seriously threaten our troops? Or do they even need that much?

At last check, Gates was worth something like 3.6 trillion... I could be off by a bit, though.

Every time he tried to launch a SCUD, he'd get a BSOD error. And his AA defense would freeze at the worst possible times, and his radar would simply give pop up ads for the latest MS products. :roll:

As RougeIce said, it owuld be a good thing if they sent the Windows OS over there too. If he gave him the money now, he wouldn't have the time to do anything with it. It would be taken once Saddam is ousted and used to cover the costs of rebuilding Iraq, while Gates whines about how it's his money.

His net worth has gone down significantly with the recession, but he's still worth a good 30 billion.

If Gates did that he would be wasting his money. The US military has an ANNUAL budget of over 300 BILLION dollars.

I'm trying to find Microsoft's financial statements to get a picture of how much it's worth, but they just haven't made them easily accessible...

Still, Gates could by a third-world country or two with his cash, and his net worth is about as much as the annual military spening of some other industrialized nations.

If Gates wants to do anything to help us with the war, he should install his software on every Iraqi computer, rendering the Iraqi army even more useless than it already is.
