Re: Something big
That does occasion a bit of reflection for me-- how often do we actually see bridges in the OT?
Certainly we see plenty of Executor's in ESB/ROTJ, to the point that we have a pretty decent idea of its layout. But the only bits we see of an ISD are, IIRC, some sort of flight control in ANH (possibly actually located by the hangar, given they have a clear view of the Tantive IV's escape pod descending to the planet), a bit of the bridge on the Avenger when Han charges it in ESB, and... that's about it. The general assumption in old canon was that they were all like the Executor, with 'crew pits' and whatnot.
Of course there's Rebels, which I understand has plenty to go off of. And there are any number of views of Venator bridges in TCW.
Now that I think about it, isn't there a pretty clear ISD bridge or two in Rogue One?

Re: Something big
Its not clear to me if Tarkin is in an observation deck or a bridge in a few of the scenes in Rogue One, could be an annex to the side or above/below the standard bridge design

Re: Something big
In choosing the Devastator (sans bridge windows) as the basis of their ISD model in R1, the bridge scenes are a little hard to reconcile. At least in the case of Tarkin observing DS construction he may well not have been on an ISD at all. The scenes over Scarif are harder to deal with though.

Is it bad that even with my dual 27" 4K monitors I still want to zoom in more? I ended up picking 8K+ backgrounds once I moved to this setup just because of the hint of more detail that gets created by the oversampling

What happened to this guyfractalsponge1 wrote: ↑2017-08-11 12:37am
New WIP - playing around with a fleet-variant Acclamator. Or, speculatively, what was cut-down to make an Acclamator transport. Similar hull, but with the slopes and such extended, larger reactor, larger superstructure, extended aft area for a bigger engine fit to move the extra mass even faster than an Acclamator. Targeting maybe 1/8th ISD power, 3500g+ acceleration.

Haste leads to waste. Waste leads to hunger. Hunger leads to greed. And greed to the Dark Side leads. Patient you must be, young Redshirt.

Re: Something big
Every time I see this ship I get really strong memories of an old (like, 1995) DOS game called Strike Base, the fighter in that came looks a lot like this, only without the centre vertical fin.
Baltar: "I don't want to miss a moment of the last Battlestar's destruction!"
Centurion: "Sir, I really think you should look at the other Battlestar."
Baltar: "What are you babbling about other...it's impossible!"
Centurion: "No. It is a Battlestar."
Corrax Entry 7:17: So you walk eternally through the shadow realms, standing against evil where all others falter. May your thirst for retribution never quench, may the blood on your sword never dry, and may we never need you again.
Centurion: "Sir, I really think you should look at the other Battlestar."
Baltar: "What are you babbling about other...it's impossible!"

Corrax Entry 7:17: So you walk eternally through the shadow realms, standing against evil where all others falter. May your thirst for retribution never quench, may the blood on your sword never dry, and may we never need you again.
