Mike's comment registered, but Gouf didn't turn. He kept his eye fixed on the cyborg stumling its way towards him and his friends. "Who are you?" he demanded, on hand on his heat saber.

"We are the borg." the man said.

"What do you want?"

"You will be assimilated. Your cultural and technological distnictiveness will be added to our own. Resistance is futile."

Gouf blinked, then sighed. "Who wants to waste this guy?"

"I'll do it," Mike responded.

Stepping forward he raised his rifle to shoulder height and fired.

The cyborgs head exploded like a watermelon put under tank tracks.

"Sure doesn't look like it to me." Another borg stumbled out of the darkened corridor. Gouf took this one himself, pumping a bullet into each eye.

Gouf looked back at the console. "Hey, guys, check this out!" he said. "There another ship docked to this one! Looks like a big ball with green lights. Maybe that's where these zombies are coming from."

"Well then, can we stop by my ship first? I've got a HAVOK nuke stored there that should make a nice big bang inside that junk pile."

Sure one second* Tyler winds up and crushes a Bog drone flat with his mallets*

"d'you really think that's a good idea, Mike? I mean, your ship was pretty well trashed. What if the nuke's been messed with, too? We could be making a long trip for nothing." Gouf punctuated his comment with a slash from his heat rod, cutting the legs out from under another drone. The damn palce was filling up with them!

Mike grabbed a nuclear grenade he'd acquired during a foray on Eurocorp earth and threw it into the midst of the drones.

"Fire in the hole!"

"Then let's get outta here." Gouf lit his heat saber and led the way down one suddenly darkened corridor after another, swiping at anything in his way until they returned to the hangar. "OK Mike, do your stuff, we'll keep you covered."

Mike dug through the storage locker, searching for his HAVOK bomb.

"Got it, and its still live."

"OK then, I guess we've got two choices. Choice number one, we leave the nuke here and try to take over that other ship. Choice number two, we nuke the other ship and hijack this one."

Gouf hesitated. "I guess we don't have much time, before those zombies take over, so we'll do it by vote. Mike?"

"I say number two. The Slipstream drive on my ship is still fine, and it should work on this junkheap, if we modify it a bit."

They were interrupted by more Borg Drones lumbering in.

"Persistent fuckers," Mike muttered, rummaging inside the backpack of infinite space for something marked 'Eurocorp Graviton Lance'.

Gouf eyed the large number of drones stumbling towards them. "There's no way we'll be able to slice our way through all of them, no matter how stupid they are."


Then, he spied a Delta Flyer stiing on the deck not too far away. "Hey Mike," he said. "Would that nuke work if someone hooked it up to the outer hull of that sphere?"

The Graviton Lance sent blue-white flame lancing through the drones, subjecting them to a 5000 times Earth standard gravity field for a split second in a reaction Mike didn't understand (but liked).

The mob of enemies was reduced to a bloody smear in seconds.

"Damn I like this gun!"

Gouf blinked as his brain attempted to comprehend what had just happened. "Damn, that's cool."


He hefted the nuke. "OK, the ships are connected through this one's saucer section. Let's go!"

"Yeah. Time to give these assclowns a thermonuclear surprise!"

Suddenly a guy wearing black robes with a backpack over his should appears out of thin air, holding a scrap of paper.

"Damn it! This isn't where I wanted to go! Stupid Teleport spell! Oh, hi there."

A glance was given to Beowulf from the stately Netherese with him. "This is not our destination.. Oh, hello, it appears to be a small zombie infestation.... Volhm."

With an air of icy calm around him, lightning burst from the hand of the Neth. It leapt into the Borg and from one to another, chaining itself through the horde. "...Pitiful. Beowulf, find us something resembling an actual opponent."
