It's a tossup between CT and FF6 for me...I loved CT's story and "Hero of Time" mythos (plus its dozen endings and New Game + feature, not to mention dual and triple techs), and FF6's whole T2-ish "desperate, lonely last stand" angle the sheer depth of the characters. However, I usually give it to CT since my sister would kill me if I didn't

No, seriously. CT at the moment since I haven't finished FF6 yet.

May the way of the Hero lead to the Triforce.

I haven't either, though that's because I'm too lazy to just go jump into the damn tower. :)
UltraViolence83 wrote:Best part about Earthbound was that you can use a toothbush to blind your enemies with your shiny teeth.
LOL! Really? Never tried it. But that was the best part about Earthbound. You could do all sorts of crazy crap and get away with it!
Stormbringer wrote:Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

Damn good game and the best Zelda ever made. It's a great game and I still play it.
Same here...one of my all time faves, along with FF3, FF7, and Sonic 3 w/Sonic & Knuckles (hardly RPG, but still fun).
Cyborg Stan wrote:You missed Cyan's Swordtechs.... alot of damage which is great but the meter runs a bit slow for my taste. I usually compensate by having him go last.
Damn! I knew I'd probably miss one, and it's one of the best too! That's another plus for FF3: so many characters! You could barely even use 'em all.
Cyborg Stan wrote:Blitz just makes Sabin into a powerhouse for the entire game. The Aurabolt ability simply wipes out enemies from the moment you get him, Fire Dance and Air Blade also kills alot, and Bum Rush is just plain mean. Considering I usually have both Sabin and Edgar in the party....
You got that right. It did seem a bit Street Fighter-ish to me, but no less useful for that! And if you didn't have a lot of magic around (especially early game), it was the next best thing. Along with tools, of course.
Cyborg Stan wrote:I found Banon's heal nice, for the short time you have him. Leo's Shock is extremely powerful, able to wipe out an opposing enemy encounter in one go.

Yeah, those were nice. Too bad you couldn't keep them... :(
Cyborg Stan wrote:Umaro doesn't have much of a seperate special ability, except maybe Blizzard with the right relic. I never used him much.
Yeah. I hardly ever used him at all...

I liked Umaro, you couldn't control him, but he was strong if you were lucky and had the right relics. Gogo and Seltzer and the Blue Mage and Pictomancer(their names escape me at the moment) I never used. I only used Locke when I didn't have a difficult boss fight ahead. I usually used Sabin/Shadow/Cyan/Terra and Mog/Edgar/Celes with a fourth

Actually in FF3/6 the best combo and outright near super cheating AB was to do this(either Locke or Shadow could do it...and I named Locke after my name so I used him)

Have the Offering, and Haste shoes as relics...get into the WoR at level 23-24, get Odin(+1 to Speed every level...only thing that did it)...and then level up.

With the Atma Wepaon(which actually only Celes, Locke, Edward and Terra could use), Paladin Shield, Genji/Mirage Armor, and Genji gloves.

I got Locke up(natural speed he is number 2) to 170 speed.

Literally with Haste shoes and that much speed I could kill virtually anything(4*9999...just about killed anything, and he can do it minimally twice before anything moved) and steal at least 2~3 times before the other side moved.

So with that and having Celes, Terra and Shadow super speedy...Kefka...heck most things were pretty much not there(then again I did do this to everyone on one save game)
MM /CF/WG/BOTM/JL/Original Warsie/ACPATHNTDWATGODW FOREVER!!

Sometimes we can choose the path we follow. Sometimes our choices are made for us. And sometimes we have no choice at all

Saying and doing are chocolate and concrete

I spent hours leveling my guys up with the Dinosaurs to lvl 99 then pwned the tower with 9999 dmg ultimas and 9999 dmg melee attacks :D.
And I always use the Quick spell when i need it with the economizer relics on my chars.

On my other catridge *yes I have two FF3 SNES catridges* I use Relm's paint on that worm where you get to GoGo's place to F the game up and give me pwning items :D
I still can't find items that it gives off in regular mode.....
Anyone else did this?

FF3 is the bomb. Period.

Note: I said it above but Mimic's name is GOGO.

I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

I remember hearing that. And that Vanish on the Ghost trick or something like that over in ZoZo (can't remember details...was explained to me, but forgot to write it down. Time to go do the Board Search!).

I'm still getting ready to hit up the Floating Continent.

LOL!

I remember that time... Took my forever to get around to it myself.

Still, for some reason, the WoR seems to go FAR faster than did the WoB.

Strange, but it's the way I felt.

Well, yes, you can get the actual bulk of the gameplay done in maybe 5-10 hours...after that, you have to level up for HOURS to even touch Kefka's Tower.

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

True. Plus, the pretty much ignore most of the more interesting sidequests, as well (Dragons come to mind, and there's Strago's Island thingy, and the Fanatics Tower). Not having gone into Kefka's Tower, can't comment on how much you need to level up, but from what I hear, it is NOT pleasent!

(EDIT: Fanatics Tower = BEST cult-type theme music EVER)
