Pokemon live action movie

Post by ray245 »

I'm not sure how many people here are actually fans of the Pokemon franchise, but I just thought I should share this. The CGI felt akin to a fan-made film as opposed to a big Hollywood studio production. I would have preferred it if they went for a more "naturalistic" design of Pokemon as opposed to what they've done in the trailer.
Humans are such funny creatures. We are selfish about selflessness, yet we can love something so much that we can hate something.

For some reason this has got me interested. I don't know why, since I am not a big fan of Pokemon, but this seems it could work.

It makes me think of the Happy Time Murders.

Okay, I just looked up a trailer.

That was... different. And potentially fun, actually.
It's a strange world. Let's keep it that way.

Ryan has a interesting track record with movies. Still, it's Pokemon, and so far the trailer hints it's following the plot of the game. Putting it firmly in a "We'll See"

Like, I'm not really into the concept, the 'Ryan Reynolds as pikachu' thing isn't a phrase that draws my attention, but seeing it together? It looks pretty fun!

The trailer looked way more entertaining than it should be. Offcourse there's always the risk they already showed the best parts of the whole movie but I'm willing to give it a chance

Or the risk that they showed scenes that weren't in the movie.

Still, it's interesting enough to pay attention to when I haven't touched any Pokemon related media in at least a decade.
