... and you want to change the situation in your country. You are part of a large minority group which differs from the controlling group racially and religiously. Your country is a democracy at least in name, but your group is disenfranchised.

How do you go about changing the system. You don't have direct access to major media outlets. You do have supporters in other countries.

Do you resort to terrorism or try some other approach?

I actually would consider terrorism if civil disobedience wasn't working, but I wouldn't go after the same targets that terrorist groups usually attack.

The way I see it, attacking the civilian population just pisses them off. I think attacking their wallets is more likely to get results.

To that end, assuming that peaceful efforts have failed, I'd start destroying factories. I've worked in a few, and the security at such places is rather lacking, IMO. With a dozen operatives, you could run the workers out of the place, set charges, and deal a major blow to a local economy.

Does that sound radical?

Well Terrorism is very effective. Look at Northern Ireland, where I live. You bomb the captial of the country enough times they'll vote you into parliment and leave lipstick marks on your ass. Sinn Fein/IRA started off 30 years ago with a load of hand-me-down AK47's and a lot of fertalizer. They now have 7 MP's 4-5 Mayors and god knows how much money milked from America.

Canadians are fun, frog females are cute and polite. Anyways, uhm, solutions to that problem? Simple.

1) Breed. In large numbers. This is how mormons pull it off.

2) Find an indispensable use in your society. That way you can't get stepped on without the whole community being squished.

3) Be loud and obnoxious to the point where the only way you can be shut up is to be appeased. Also known as the fundie approach.

4) MLK/ Ghandi's approach. Civil Disobedience.

5) If all else fails, remember, terror is not the approach you want for military action. Try going for The highest impact possible with the least collateral damage to yourself and those uninvolved.

That would only result in three things:

1) Increased security (including armament) at factories
2)Loss of support from special-interest groups who might otherwise flock to your cause
3) Ligitimization of your oppression.

Maybe destroy property if it went too far... A few attacks on government computers, or something... Would be a last resort though.
