Which is scarier in the woods at night?

How scary is this when you are alone in the woods at night?

I'd go with the cougar. There haven't been any reports of Timberwolves or anywolves attacking people in the U.S. There have been cases of cougars killing and eating people within the last ten years. They seem to like joggers

Hmm, Tigers are my fave big cats.Superman wrote:I am not afraid of dogs. At all.
A big cat, on the other hand, is an animal at the zenith of hunting and stealth. When you see a five hundred pound cat there is really nothing like it. Even a 125 lb Mountain Lion is an amazing animal. I am going with the big cats. I think they're amazing.

I get the feeling that if it came down to it, I could at least hurt a wolf before he tore my throat out. Gouge out an eye or something. That cat, no way. He pounces, my neck is broken, I'm being dragged off to a tree or a cave somewhere.

As powerful as the wolves are and as intimidating as pack hunters can be, I'd be more afraid of the coguars....
Healthy wolves have never attacked people....to be honest I think they know how shitty we are as a species and have better taste.....
I need to add a great line :-

Even though there have been no confirmed attacks on humans in a jillion years in the U.S., I'd go with wolves.
A) I probably outweigh Mr. Kitty.
B) He hunts alone, I'd know exactly where the threat is.
C) The Dawg gang would outnumber me, and the idea of being eaten alive, asshole first, does NOT appeal to me.
Mr. Kitty would have the common courtesy of killing me first, at least. If he could even kill me in the first place.

The cat.
Timberwolves are more afraid of humans (and with good reason - we hunted them near extinction; they're Threatened in Minnesota and Endangered everywhere else in the world).

Just remember boys and girls, if you're in the woods and you hear a baby crying, don't go looking for it. That ain't no baby. Cougars make a dangerously similar sound.
