What do you do if you have fundie parents?

Several of my relations are foaming at the mouth bastard baptists. One of my aunts was really bad, her and her husband wouldn't let their daughter watch tv, listen to the radio or go any where excpet school or church. my cousins solution was to die. I mentioned her a few months ago in my rant here on why i hate christianity.

Luckily, I share my parents views. My brother doesn't, but we don't pick on him for it. I think children should always be left with as little pressure from parents as possible, so they can decide there own point of view. I don't mean ignore religious schools, if you believe then you should send your kids there so they at least know a little about where your coming from. Of course, if the school crams it down your throat thats different, but I doubt too many do that anymore (twelve years in Catholic schools and I'm not condemning everyone else to hell, And I'm not reacting against it either.) The important thing is that parents should respect their childrens beliefs, and vice versa. Even if they become a fundie, you should be polite.

I have Fundie parents. First you lie of true beliefs if you are atheist or agnostic. Then you take the facade of a liberal or a moderate Christain and begin questioning them and destroy there stupidity by just avoiding the Big Bang and Evolution. This is battle I still fight. My Mom is of average intelligence and a Fundie so I always win she changes subjects. And my Dad is a part time astronmer so he's a little more liberal but still doesn't follow evolution. Fight the battle just from a quieter viewpoint.

It was a legal requirement that I be brought up a catholic.....intresting things adoption contracts....

Fundie catholic parents. They still don't even know I'm an atheist. My mother defends shrubby for violating seperation of church and state all because Shrubby supports bannin abortion.
