Not to sound rascist but I might actualy buy that "proud to be white" thing, considering that in the past two weeks I have been called a "slave owner" and rascist for being pushed into black people on the subway...

Then again it might be a passing fad.

If you live in a place where you have to ride the subway with a significant number of minorities, you will be killed. Plain and simple.

But then, anyone ignorant enough to wear such paraphernalia in such conditions (or at all) deserves to be killed. Also plain and simple.

I'm not sure if they intend to be racist, it's probably really just a fad and some people go for it because it looks "cool". You have to admit that some of the items they're selling look pretty neat (the skulls, vikings, SS and swastikas), they're only repulsive because of what they symbolize.

As for the "proud to be white" stuff, I'm not so sure it's very different from similar sayings regarding other races (specifically blacks, eg "black is beautiful"). "White Power" and "White Boy" by themselves aren't racist, it's just they've been associated with hateful groups like the KKK and Nazis.

Of course, I'd never consider buying any of that stuff, nor do I agree it's ok to wear it. However, in the interests of being tolerant and accepting, I think an effort should be made to try and understand their reasons and motives. For the most part, I think their customers buy the stuff out of ignorance or indifference to their meaning.

Just something to think about before deciding that such people should be killed.
