Whorealdo expelled from Iraq for being a dumbass
"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

That was pretty stupid. And irresponsible. Good riddance.
Any city gets what it admires, will pay for, and, ultimately, deserves…We want and deserve tin-can architecture in a tinhorn culture. And we will probably be judged not by the monuments we build but by those we have destroyed.--Ada Louise Huxtable, "Farewell to Penn Station", New York Times editorial, 30 October 1963

Rivera then reportedly provided another live report from Iraq on Fox hours after his expulsion was announced. Rivera said he knew nothing about the ordered expulsion at the time of the second report.
"In fact, I'm further in Iraq than I've ever been," he said. "It sounds like some rats from my former network, NBC, are trying to stab me in the back."
They're not gonna expell him. They're gonna wait till he's sleeping, and pack up, and leave him.

Oh come on now Geraldo, something about "casting the first stone" or whatever comes to mind.Rivera said he had heard nothing about being expelled until he called network headquarters for a scheduled live report.
"MSNBC is so pathetic a cable news network that they have to do anything they can to attract attention," Rivera said. "You can rest assured that whatever they're saying is a pack of lies."

I think that if he wasn't expelled, that would rather indicate that whatever he was doing wasn't wrong. Perhaps he was either:
1. Intentionally spreading disinformation.
2. Doing so at the request of the unit.
3. Trying to report the plan accurately, but doing so with such inaccuracy that nobody cared.
Number three is obviously the most likely option.

It would actually be amusing to see Rivera kicked out, it was just until I'd read that CNN article I didn't see anything to suggest that would happen. Picture links are rather annoying - Hard to tell they exist. My apologies.

You missed option 4, Your Grace. Being an incompetent, sensationalist prick with no thought for anything save his self promotion. The Duchess of Zeon wrote:I think that if he wasn't expelled, that would rather indicate that whatever he was doing wasn't wrong. Perhaps he was either:

Well, Geraldo is pretty amusing - to laugh AT him. I like what an RTA Colonel on my other board I frequent commented about him in Afghanistan when he was waving that pistol about - The Taliban would either capture him and execute him for being an armed civilian, or think he was an officer since he was carrying a pistol and snipe him. *snickers* OTOH he reminds me of those guys in China during the Taiping Rebellion leading mercenary units in formal wear...Frank Hipper wrote:You missed option 4, Your Grace. CNN just reported that Geraldo will leave voluntarily instead of get expelled as teh Pentagon wanted to do. Fox spent the day BEGGING the Pentagon not to expel Geraldo but the Pentagon dug in its heels (Thank god) and finally came to an arrangement where he would simply leave on his own.
What a fucking jack ass. I used to love watching him try to play macho man with the troops and strat slinging the military jargon. He sounded sooo ridiculous that it was worth a laugh. What an ass...seriously what the fuck was he THINKING??!!
And then to try and blame it on misinformation spread by MSNBC was icing on the cake for his titanic ego. Does anyone here remember when he ran a talk show whose highlights included him interviewing transexuals revealing themselves to their lovers?? This guy's a joke.
As far as I'm concerned with him and Arnett (Mouthpiece of Baghdad) gone media IQ just shot up.

Put Arnett and Heraldo in a mud pit and let them fight it out. I don't want any pictures, though. I always wondered why the hell Fox had him in the first place. There's got to be better reporters-- both smarter and more photogenic.
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."
In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!
If all you want to do is have some harmless, mindless fun, go H3RE INST3ADZ0RZ!!
Grrr! Fight my Brute, you pansy!
