As well as Firefly Joss Whedon has Dollhouse (featuring Eliza Dushku). Eliza also stars in Tru Calling.
Orphan Black is also great. And iZombie, Mr Robot. For humour can't beat Red Dwarf, Blackadder, Fawlty Towers, Yes Minister, Yes Prime Minister, Drop the Dead Donkey and its Australian equivalent Frontline.
