Its much easier to mispronounce a last name like mine: Iannazzo

Eye-naz-oh. Or as everyone else on the planet likes to pronounce,

E-a-nat-so? Eye-a-naz-oh? E-a-naz-io?

Idiots. Every last one of 'em.

People REFUSE to spell my last name correctly, L-I-N-D-S-A-Y, not the inferior E-Y spelling. In school, every fucking yearbook had it as LINDSEY, what the fuck, think I can't spell my own god damned name???

Wee, bitch fest.

It's XaLEv. Not XaLeV. Not XeLeV. Not Xalex. And definitely not XvalV (honestly, Ray  )

If you absolutely must be different, spell it KalEv.

Oh, man! All this time I thought your name was "vermillion"! Jesus, why didn't anybody tell me? I've been calling her "Krandall"!

Not really. I think it's strange that people don't take the time to actually comprehend what they're reading. Oh, and people always spell my name "Treader," because that's how it's pronounced. That pisses me off.

Heh. I've always found it amusing how many literate and intelligent people cannot for the life of them spell Crazy right. I just don't get it, is there an American spelling for it that's different or something?

No, it's "crazy" here in America, founding country of the English language. How do people misspell it? "Crazey"?

If you're thinking about my nick, no, I didn't intend for it to come out this way originally.

I wanted Cray9000, as in Cray (the supercomputer company) and HAL 9000. However, someone had already registered that E-mail address, so I decided to put a z in the middle. The rest is history.

That said, it is annoying to be called crazy9000.

I think he was talking about his own nick. But yours fits as "crazy" in that "cray z" sounds like "crazy". But I always think of your name as "craze 9000".

Oh, man. Now I can't look at the word "crazy" and not think it's spelled totally insanely, because I wrote it so many times. That ever happen to you? One time I said "dodger" 100 times in a row, and for like an hour, I was convinced that it wasn't a word, because it just sounded to wacky. And no, I wasn't on pot.

LOL... I've done that before.

Try saying "blank" ~20 times in a row.

No, it's not really anyone on this site that I can remember off the top of my head. I don't post here enough for people to have much opportunity to spell my name wrong.

The common misspelling that I have seen is "Crasey" which is just bizarre in it's wrongness.

And Zaia ~ it's because since I've been on the boad (all 6 1/2 months) I have been refered to as verillion. I am not so big on the capitalization, so that doesn't irk me as much, but it's not a capital, so yeah.

It's Olrik: O-L-R-I-K. Not Olric, not Orlik, not Olick. It's Olrik, Olrik, Olrik.

Again, IT IS OLRIK.

Well, I'm used to pronouncing Greek, so Italian is therefore a piece of cake ;) Except the accent. Don't ask me to give it a regional accent...

Of course, just try pronouncing Moussaka, Spanakopita, or, my favorite, gyro.

No, it's not pronounced "gyro" as in gyroscope. It's pronounced "yeero", more or less. I unfortunately can't use the International Phonetic Alphabet here...

I have that same problem with people mis-spelling my last name, how hard can it be to spell "Macaulay"? But no, I get "McAulay", "McCauley", "Macauley", and "MCauley" among other variations. In one yearbook I had my name spelled "Macaulay" which is correct but my sister had hers spelled "McAulay".

I don't think I ever had a problem writing 'verilon', but I ALWAYS read it as 'verilion'. Same thing goes for a lot of people with odd screen names.

Then again, I was sig quoted by Stormbringer for the better part of two weeks as, 'Lagonmaster'. I'm not sure what that was, either...sounds kind of like a rabbit with a velvet cloak.
