It's a Japanese gesture where you stick out your tongue while pulling your lower eyelid down with your index finger. "Biida" is the sound you make while you do it.
Being an anime fan, you should be somewhat familiar with it.
It's not insulting, and basically means "nya-nya!!"

I believe in a sign of Zeta.

Your input dosen't matter either way spanky, afterall your nothing more then a flame whore.
Devolution is quite as natural as evolution, and may be just as pleasing, or even a good deal more pleasing, to God. If the average man is made in God's image, then a man such as Beethoven or Aristotle is plainly superior to God, and so God may be jealous of him, and eager to see his superiority perish with his bodily frame.

I do recall the gesture, yes. I always somewhat interpreted it as the giver calling the target round-eyed.Spanky The Dolphin wrote:It's a Japanese gesture where you stick out your tongue while pulling your lower eyelid down with your index finger. "Biida" is the sound you make while you do it.

Yeah, it's basically the Japanese equivalent of giving someone a raspberry.Dalton wrote:I do recall the gesture, yes. I always somewhat interpreted it as the giver calling the target round-eyed.

Oh, btw In the Rough draft of the article the original victims were B&B. I changed it to Geordi only because the aritlce would have immediatly been spotted as a prant if I posted those two as victims (I mean wishful thinking only goes so far).

I wrote the article and posted a phoney link that would take people to the NY times, but ask them for their password to access the "article". In other words I was counting on people's laziness for registering with the NY times just to verify the arcticle! I must say, it worked decently well and I at least managed to fool people (or keep them guessing) longer then with Mike did with his "subspacedestroyer.net" prank. I'm kind of proud of myself because I actually managed to construct the prank/joke to work on several levels.
1. Make people think that Levar Burton had actually died.
2. Funny names within the "article".
3. Make people actually think that the NY times POSTED the article.
4. The communicator and transporter jokes within the article.
So people, what do you think of the article as a prank, its convincingness as an article, and the jokes within it?
(I thought they were pretty good )

Well, why say LeVar Burton died? He wasn't the one that drove ST down the toilet. Why not say someone nobody cares about, like Rosie O'Donnel died?BlkbrryTheGreat wrote:Oh, btw In the Rough draft of the article the original victims were B&B. I had to pick someone that was known well enough to be signifigant, but obsecure enough to be easily verifiable. Levar Burton just got the luck of the draw because he relates to ST in someway (theme of the site) yet isn't famous enough to have his death appear on the news or ET. Your right though, I really should have p icked someone more "evilish" or stuck with the B&B idea in my original idea.Asst. Asst. Lt. Cmdr. Smi wrote:Well, why say LeVar Burton died? Do not meddle in the affairs of insomniacs, for they are cranky and can do things to you while you sleep.
