Tonight I ordered a Ryzen 7 5800X for less than $200. I decided to look up the current pricing of my current CPU, a Ryzen 7 2700X and found that it's going for upwards of $400. Why so high? I haven't that much when I first got it.
Why is the 2700X priced higher than the 5800X?
Any reason why some older CPUs are more expensive than newer models?

Probably just supply and demand and sellers preying on people who don't price check and just assume that older must be cheaper.
