These weapons which are commonly known as Depleted Uranium Bombs, work like a Hydrogen bomb. There is no difference except that the radiation of these bombs is lesser in degree and quantity. However, the devastating effects of this radiation on the people are as serious as the H-Bomb.

There is a huge diference on how they work!!! There is no nuclear explosion!!!

I don't even understand what the reporter is trying to say, here. "There is no difference except that the radiation of these bombs is lesser in degree and wuantity. However the devastating effects of this radiation on the people are as serious as the H-Bomb?" What? How is that possible.

Even if we can ignore the laughably ignorant premise of this article, I still have no idea what he's talking about here, since the severity of radiation injuries is a function of the amount.

The misnamed 'Depleted' Uranium is left after enriched uranium is separated from natural uranium in order to produce fuel for nuclear reactors.

During this process, the fissionable isotope Uranium 235 is separated from uranium. The remaining uranium, which is 99.8% uranium 238 is misleadingly called 'depleted uranium'.

While the term 'depleted' implies it isn't particularly dangerous, in fact, this waste product of the nuclear industry is 'conveniently' disposed of by producing deadly weapons.

And it never occured to them WHY is U-238 called a waste product and not used in nuclear reactors? Their very article gives an answer to their claims about 120mm DPU rounds being "tactical nuclear weapons".

And what the hell is natural Uranium? There is some synthetic kind, too?
