Controlling the vehicle by thought won't do beans about your reaction speed, or the limitations imposed by the physics of the car.
'Next time I let Superman take charge, just hit me. Real hard.'
'You're a princess from a society of immortal warriors. I'm a rich kid with issues. Lots of issues.'
'No. No dating for the Batman. It might cut into your brooding time.'
'Tactically we have multiple objectives. So we need to split into teams.'-'Dibs on the Amazon!'
'Hey, we both have a Martian's phone number on our speed dial. I think I deserve the benefit of the doubt.'
'You know, for a guy with like 50 different kinds of vision, you sure are blind.'

TIL the date I'll be sworn in as a Justice of the Peace (woo, more letters after my name :D ).

On a less serious note, I also learned that someone has done a 40K version of The Battle Hymn of the Republic and it's actually good.

Behold:

EDIT:

Ooooo turns out there's an Adeptus Mechanicus version too:

Baltar: "I don't want to miss a moment of the last Battlestar's destruction!"
Centurion: "Sir, I really think you should look at the other Battlestar."
Baltar: "What are you babbling about other...it's impossible!"
Centurion: "No. It is a Battlestar."

Corrax Entry 7:17: So you walk eternally through the shadow realms, standing against evil where all others falter. May your thirst for retribution never quench, may the blood on your sword never dry, and may we never need you again.

If they're so bad it's actually worse than them tasting like vomit why does anybody eat them?

TIL I can formally diagnose myself as clinically insane, and it would have absolutely no effect on my job and I can still see patients and do everything else that I normally do.

Your psychologist could be totally batshit crazy and this is totally fine according to our regulatory board.

Suddenly, Canada and the United States makes perfect sense.
I've been asked why I still follow a few of the people I know on Facebook with 'interesting political habits and view points'.

It's so when they comment on or approve of something, I know what pages to block/what not to vote for.

You'd think that would be spread more widely, give more people something to be worried about so Something Would Be Done.

TIL that Apple TV, showing the level of self-awareness that I have sadly come to expect from multinational corporations in this day and age, has acquired the rights to adapt William Gibson's Neuromancer for the screen.

I am not making this up.

TIL the Imperial measuring system is actually metric thanks to some shenanigans by Ford and Johansson in the 1920s which defined the inch as exactly 25.4mm.

The full video is really interesting and gives a history of how we learned how to measure things, the part about the standardized industrial inch starts a bit before the 18 minute mark.

Yeah the Imperial system was standardized to exact metric length as prior to that you had a whole host of different inches that made things very difficult to anyone who operate outside their local area.
