If I remember correctly, that was a made up or altered passage.

edit: yeah it's altered, but the unaltered version isn't to far different from what he says in the movie.

This is the same chapter that we get the SnakeHandlers from, isn't it. Some of those churches are said to drink *tiny* amounts of strictnine (sp).
