Well, the new round started and I am going all navy this time. Last time I had some B-2's but this time I am going to go almost exclusively destroyers and cruisers. I hope it goes well.

Should I just keep building RLs and try to stay below 100k NW, then start building when I get >15k/hr?

I'm already at 9.5k w/ 72k NW and 51 DDs and 22 subs.
Need to get a token air defense though, however people are likely to use infantry at this stage.

Start building deffensive buildings, but build up a nice size military.

The thing is that RLs have lots of HP, but add half the NW of military units and buildings. Going to get SAMs or cruisers, maybe F-22s, since they have been made more powerful by removing one of the attack capabilities. Probably do that on sunday. Meanwhile, for the next few days, will research money. Can currently do 300 research a day, will get more RLs tommorrow. Have to get land though, so I guess I'll start building up military. Can't wait for cruise missiles.

Feel free to kick me out of the clan, I won't be able to put in enough time this round to make a worthwhile contribution. Work, good weather, biking, cuddly swimmer chicks and other such niceties will be taking up all my time.

Anyway, looking at the top lists, I've noticed that there are already clans with hundreds of points. How did they get that many points only 4 days into the round?

Well that's because we have less people. Also me and maybe others have been sinking money into RLs to get high income, and RLs do not provide much NW. Right now at 9.77k/hr- need to get to 15k before more buildup.

I'm focusing on Navy for this round. Maybe some seahawks for antisub work and comanche for cannon fodder to protect missiles and maybe F22 for killing air. Probably 10% seahawk and comanche each, 30% destroyer, 20% cruiser, and 30% sub. With loads of missiles. I need the money for cruise missiles, since they are one time use.

Well I have been spending every drop of my money on RLs every day until today, and my income is rather high compared to others in the clan. However I don't raid, since I do not find it profitable at this stage in the game. 2k per raid is pathetic. I'm trying to stay below 100k in NW until I can get more money researched. Currently 5 sciences/turn. That means I have to keep my military small until Sunday-Monday- need land though,

There's a clan with 3800 points, the secret is simple, instead of doing all the fancy things, they take advantage of the fact that they are a full clan, and all their members are on the same range this early in the game, so they go pack hunting lesser clans, in one way wars, it does not matter, in 2 weeks they get the bonus, and then they can spend all those 750k and hundreds of turns however they want, you can build hundreds of research labs and put all the turns in research if you want, every other clan is left behind for not being smart enough to take advantage of the situation, and that's what’s is happening to the SD clan, our leaders wont move a finger, they just sit there and go "no, if we attack we can't research, and wont grow, we'll do some more research" meanwhile, everybody else is doing the same and we will never get an advantage, so in a month the situation will be the same.

Some of the other guys in the SD clan think as i do, but the leaders just wont go on with it, we even came up with little clans we can smash in a day and get a lot of points out of it (remember, at this point pretty much all the players are on the same range).

This early in the game clan wars should not be planned, you should just burst into the smaller clans, kick the shit out of them, get the points, the loot, and go on to the next one, if we get a bonus in just a few weeks after the round starts, we can become a true force to be reckoned with.
This is suppoused to be war, after all.

I may consider changing clan, since there's not much going on at SD clan.

I agree, but don't change clans just yet.

I can kind of understand our CT's being kind of reluctant to start a war. We only have 2 active CT's and The_Dark is MIA. Give it 1 or 2 more days.
