In TNG episode "The Wounded," the USS Phoenix powered up both phasers and photon torpedoes before destroying a Cardassian ship with photon torpedoes at a range of 300,000 km. I remember several times in TOS, the Enterprise engaged targets with its phasers at 75,000 km. The TNG tech manual states the range for phasers at 300,000 km and photon torpedoes at 3,500,000 km.
Does anyone know what the correct ranges for phasers and photon torpedoes would be?
