Psych Test

Post by Tsyroc »

This was originally an email forward that immediately
made me think of some of the people on SD.net :D. I changed the format
a little so it won't take up as much space. Instead of scrolling down for the
answer you'll have to look at it via the quote function.

Psychological Test

This is a genuine psychological test.
It is a story about a girl. While at the funeral of her own mother,
she met this guy whom she did not know. She thought this guy was
amazing, so much her dream guy she believed him to be, that she fell in
love with him there but never asked for his number and then... A few days
later the girl killed her own sister.

Question: What is her motive in killing her sister?
Give this some thought for a while before you scroll down.

Answer: She was hoping that the guy would appear at the funeral again.

If you answered this correctly, you think like a psychopath. This was
a test by a famous American psychologist used to test if one has the
same mentality as a killer. Many arrested serial killers took part in
this test and answered it correctly. If you didn't answer correctly - good
for you.

If your friends hit the jackpot, may I suggest that you keep your
distance and if you got it correct, please let me know so I can take
you off my distribution list.

Interesting that it doesn't say who the "famous psychologist" is/was. :?

I guessed it right, I must be a psychopath! Actually I thought it was pretty obvious with the "but never asked for his number ", should be phrased in a less obvious manner (maybe "they never spoke" or something like that).

Just because I know hwy she did it, doesn't mean I would!

I reckon I'd make a good criminal psychologist.

I saw this riddle, and I thought of something way off from the intended focus of the question. Using the logic of the "yes/no" 20 question style riddles, I immediately constructed a scenario by filling in the blanks, which is possibly just as twisted as the original answer.

Three days later, she discovered she was pregnant and got an abortion. Little did she know, her "dream guy" was, in fact, her own father (note that it was the mother that died. The father could have run out, but come back for the funeral. The daughter might then not know who he is, and vice versa). The baby, being the offspring of her father, would technically be her sister.

So what does this mean? That I have the mind of a Soap Opera writer? ;)

Getting close...but you need something with some outlandish pizazz...like the Father is magical clone from another time to prevent his own death or something(I kid you not...my many aunts who avidly love soaps have talked about the factors I have listed)

The first thing I thought was that there was no evidence at all given to say why she killed her sister so it could have been over anything.

What the should do is preform the Turing test on a subject, if they pass, then they are AIs with to much power and the Turing police will be after them.
