I take it you're sufficiently recovered to think about modeling again? KooL BeanZ about the easier-than-before commentKenny_10_Bellys wrote:Yeah, you're all blunt and dense
The side views really help, just going from a top down drawing is never advisable and you can see how wrong I got it from the first model. I'll begin rebuilding this tomorrow, I don't think I'll be at work so I'll have time to get this redone. It's actually easier now, this body shape is easier to model than the one I came up with. Stay tuned for more developments...

Here we go kids, spent the day lying in my bed after phoning in ill, so in a fit of guilt tonight I rebuilt the body to try and conform more with Ein's side view. There may be minor discrepancies, I tend to experiment with cockpit glass placement all the time as it's so damned important in setting the character of a ship, so if it's not what you expected, dont worry. Let me know if this is acceptable to you and then I'll begin redoing the wings. Getting the shape doesn't take long, but attaching them to this body will be a little involved. Also we are going to remodel the rear tail fins, they're very wide when viewed from the side and will be even more imposing if I raise the tail even higher. We'll see when I get to that stage I suppose...

Good work. I dunno if anyone else noticed this, but on the Buraaanian (Space Nazi) Capital Ship, the bottom vents make the ship sort of look like a Nazi uniform. The vents remind me a lot of the bars on the collar of Nazi uniforms. The grey hull section looks like a suit. There's a red ray that goes down just like a tie on a white shirt too. And the ship paint job looks like Japan's rising sun in their flag is replace with a swastika. They're like the Commie-Nazis; Jap-Nazis!

Only nitpick I have is the bottom of the nose. Kinda bow it out just a bit. I also want a rear view so I can see what size engine nozzle can fit on it. I'll show you what I mean with another JPEG. Keep an eye on your email, Kenny.

UPDATE!!!! Kenny's uncle is recovering from some... ahh _SOMETHING_ that made him fall down and go to the Hospital, plus Kenny is suddenly having w0rk issues (some project that took 2 years to build up to suddenly kicking off), etc.
Anyways, I _JUST_ Got done with these designs...
AK47X 'Thumper' Stun Cannon. For those times you absolutely need to tell that Turkey in the Cargo Shuttle who's hogging the Core Lane on the Hyperspace Highway to MOVE HIS FAT ASS! Basically the 30th Century equivalent to a Big-Ass Truck Horn™!
At last, my "Mullet Mobile" as Dalton so kindly put it. The Blue Angel!

Unrelated MSPaint Pimpage, this time inspired by the Ships of EarthForce Naval Intelligence!

E. Sn0 -+31337+- wrote:This text file describes the new ship and weapons in this zip file. The purpose of this endeavor is not for me to slap a few modifications to a weapon and pass it off as completely original, but to explain what I did and basically to ask only for a small bit of credit. I did all this completely on my own time for fun, so don't feel obligated to post this at EFNI. Granted, it would be appreciated, but it's okay either way. Anyways on to the ship and weapons...
The EFNI Advanced Monitor (as yet unnamed) is a ship inspired by the Vigilante Cutter and by the advent of a compact Quantum Singularity power source and advanced Gravitic Propulstion technology. At around 1275 meters and 11 million tons, it's approximately the same size and displacement of the Vigilante, but with several advantages.
Performance: The Monitor can accelerate at approximately 15 Gs, and has the unusual distinction of being atmosphere capable. In a 1-bar atmosphere, it is capable of sustaining a speed of Mach 3 without hull damage. A downsised EGAD unit is located inside the bottom of the hull to protect it from atmospheric forces and combat damage.
Weapons: Its primary long-range weapons are a QSL-4S Spinal Q-Laser and dual fire-linked GE GAD-U Q-Lasers all mounted spinally. There are also four SUPEROMEGA Gemini Twin Heavy Antimatter Streamers (Basically the Ion Cannon was replaced with another Antimatter Streamer barrel). The Ion weapons consist of four MI190 Heavy Ion Turrets, two WRI2028Q Quad Ion Repeater turrets (basically four fire-linked WRI2028 Ion Repeater barrels in one turret), and four WRI2028 Ion Repeaters. The ship also has two M98 Medium Gravitic Fusion Pulse cannons and four Compatto railguns amidships. The light weapons consist of ten WRX 1028 Light Pulse cannons to round out the weapons package.
Power and Propulsion: The high-powered weapons are fed by a Zenith Assault Vector-inspired powerplant. The ship has a ZQ-2 Quantum Singularity reactor and two Event Horizon GE Fusion reactors. The propulsion engines are two GE Ion engines and a Waverider 4 gravitic engine. A standard Jump engine completes the ship's propulsion systems.
Defense: Advanced Nanotech-equipped Carbonat XIII Armor layer of up to twenty meters thickness comprise the primary defenses. Ten MKIII Interceptors and four neural disruptors assist in the ship's defenses.
Overall, this ship is designed to be the Big Brother to the Vigilante Cutter. It is to Earthforce what the White Star was to the Interstellar Alliance: a fast, extremely advanced and well-armed vessel capable of scaring (and blasting!!) the pants off anything short of a First One!

Well, here we are again! Back in the thread we started in, with only a slight detour.
Here's the latest pic for you, it's your Blue-Yellow paintjob design with the cannon added, although I think you've got them awfully far forward for my tastes. I also rendered it with several cel-shader plug-ins to see how it might look Manga style since it's all primary colours and such.

Move the guns back then, I see your point How about bumping them back to where the mounts are (or moving the mounts up to the front and reattaching them)?

I was thinking more along the lines of moving the whole thing bodily under the wing rather than mounting them so far forward. They're a nice length and well proportioned, just positioned too far forward for stability and aesthetics. If I mount them under the wing they'll look more natural I think. Anyway, I'll try and detail it over the weekend but I'll be working my fat ass off all weekend at my real job, starting with a 14-hour shift tomorrow and then all day Saturday and Sunday, so dont expect any more updates.
