No, Alyeska's cap was not Wolf 359; that was a junkyard (one of many the Federation has, IIRC) in the episode "Unification". (one of my favorite TNG episodes, really)

Best damned poster on that BBS.

A couple of interesting guys have shown up recently in the Trek Tech forum, Adrias Sophia and Todd Guenther, of Mastercom fame. It's nice to have such influential and talented fans swapping ideas around. That place is so big, you really get a wide selection of the justly famous and cretinous assholes. Sorry to hear about your rather silly banning, but I guess it probably isn't exactly eating away at your soul or anything. I just remembered you as being one of the better posters from a year or so ago, so I thought I'd say "Hi." I'm Kinnison over there, BTW.

Back to the topic, there was a Constitution- (or Enterprise-, as I prefer) class engineering hull present at Wolf 359. I believe it was the "battle damaged" version used in TWOK. I don't know of any kitbash classes that use that hull, but I am no expert on that subject. I think that it is reasonable to assume that the class survived into the time of Picard and his anemic colleagues.

Howdy right back at ya. I've seen a pic somewhere of the Ent-Class (yes I agree with you on that part!) drifting in one of those NextGen shots, but I'm thinking it is probably the model that got blown up for the falling into atmosphere part of TREK III. The TWOK battle damage model you mention was only the dorsal neck and top part of engineering, whereas the TSFS model actually still had nacelles and part of the dish after the blast, which fits with the stuff I saw on NextGen.

I think you're right, come to think of it. While I admire the research that's gone into the Wolf 359 project, I don't really care much for TNG, so the details are a bit hazy.
