Operation Iraq Freedom Pic Slideshow

Post by Darth Wong »

Jegs2 sent me this:

Pretty cool pictures.

EDIT: Note that it's a Powerpoint slideshow. You'll need Powerpoint to view it, although I believe Micro$oft has a free viewer, and I know for a fact that the freeware office suit OpenOffice can import it (because that's how I viewed it). When I get time, I might break it out into individual images.

ACK! Slide 6! They're breaking AKs with a sledgehammer! Oh the pain! Make it stop!

On a more serious note, I find the last picture to have a quite tasteless caption.

I think it's pretty tastless as well. A little consideration and it's some what less offensive but still tasteless.

Interesting slide show though.

Noooooooooo
(Although it hurts more when they demolish T-54s. Most Iraqi AKs will survive this war anyway in the hands of civilians, but a tank isn't something you normally hide in your house. The tanks are all wrecks now :( )

I doubt a mere sledgehammer would have any effect on the thing....

Seen that cool marketing video where there's a bunch of seamless transitions of this one AK-74M getting utterly punished, but still being fired? It's both dropped off a building and run over by a car :)

Great pics, I like the one with Saddam and Hammurabi (or whatever ancient Sumerian/Babylonian/whatever that is).

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

Seen it, in tests they ran an M16 over with an M60 tank and it still worked.

Course, who doesn't love the L85? In one training exercise a solider dropped it from a landing helicopter accidentally and the thing emptied the magazine on full auto.

The pic of the F/A-18 taking off (at least I think it was a Hornet) was beautiful. And the one right after with the rocket launcher in mid-fire was just fucking cool.
