It still sucks in a fight compared to Star Wars ships. In ST it is very, very powerful (or, indeed, compared to ships from many series).

Incidentally, I still don't think that the CGI on any of the ships in Nemesis is that good. I don't know why, they just don't look as well detailed and textured as many of the ships from other movies and even TV shows.

Looks nice. Hopefully it will last longer than two torps with the Enterprise.

It's cool, but if the leaked script is correct, the damn thing's invisible for most of the movie.

Wow. Another ship in the "just design a fighter and scale it up" line of vessels.

My bad, this is the Valadore, not the Scimitar. New Romulan warbird class.

Is that really real ST ship or is it just a fan made ship?

Either way it is beautiful.

I've heard that the Scimitar is supposed to be able to destroy these new warbirds in a single shot. So either the Scimitar is a badass, or the Valadore isn't as great as all the Romulan hype makes it to be :)

Ah yes, the

Romulan-cop-out-superweapon-of-the-week class Überdreadnought (TM).

Doesn't look bad, but the form doesn't follow the function as is the case with all ST vessels.

So the Romulans are finally getting a new ship class, but they're only there to get blown up?

It's been my experience that aside from the Sarek/Romulan commander of Balance of Terror, the Romulans make good cannon fodder...see a certain little story called Starcrossed if you don;t believe me. 8)

So do all ST races when facing the Empire.
In TOS the Roms ruled.
But the TNG Romulans suck ass, especially for their weird outfit.

Yeah, b/c ILM is no longer doing the FX, they got Digital Domain. Why? They aren't at all innovative compared to ILM.

Although I think the pictured ship is kind of cool looking I think they took it too far away from the Warbird and made it resemble a Romulanized Klingon warship. :?

Here I was hoping that now that the Romulans are finally appearing significantly in a ST film I would get to see some really cool and detailed shots of a Warbird (or two) in action. But Noooooooooooo, someone has to design something new. If they absolutely had to design something new couldn't they have done something about those dune buggys to make them not look like a cheap ST version of my neighbor's sand rail.

The best looking ship of the TNG erra and it's dupmed just when it gets a decent chance at the big screen. :(

No I mean innovative, I mean ILM has done some really groundbreaking FX, Forrest Gump is a perfect example. DD hasn't really done much IMO.

pretty nice ships, resembles a scaled Klingon bird-of-prey.

well Romulan ships do tend to very stylish and this ship seem to follow the trend, a luxury liner as some people called it, the Romulans seem to really fell out of favor after TOS.

The bigger they are the bigger the blast will be when they suffer a shipwide systems faliure.
