Possible nuclear facility?

Post by The_Nice_Guy »

There was the initial report from worldnetdaily.
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/artic ... E_ID=31966

And here're some more links.
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,83821,00.html
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/ar ... 3Apr9.html

Of course, the source of these reports is still not totally substantiated. I think we'll be hearing more in the coming days.

It's pretty hard to fake a geiger count. Of course, the presence of radioactive material does not suggest th presence of fission material.

The site also served as a repository for about 150 pieces of radioactive equipment that Iraq was permitted to keep for medical or industrial applications. Some of the devices contain high levels of radiation and could be potentially used in a "dirty bomb," said David Albright, a former IAEA inspector and president of the Institute for Science and International Security.

I hope they do find warheads. It'd justify the whole damned war to the nth degree.

I like the progression of this war, too. It goes from "Sadaam has links to terror," to "Sadaam has WMDs," to "the Iraqi people are oppressed." I wish someone with a bunch of stars on their shoulders could come forward and state the uniform cause of this war, 'cuz it's changed so much. (I'll stop hijacking now.)

Well, so far they have made quite a lot of justifications for the war, and it seems they are working backwards now.

First we see the Iraqis liberated. Then we might see the discovery of WMDs.

Maybe at the very end, they might actually find terrorist connections, perhaps even before 9/11.

Who knows?

Already have found terrorist connections, just not to Al Qaeda. Numerous training camps, plus the connection to Palestinian terrorists.

It's hard to say if the terrorist camps were already present before 9/11, which was the casus belli in the first place, or if they only appeared when Bush started aiming his sights at Saddam.

Documentation from Saddam's government would shed more light on this.
