No problem.

In Neon Genesis Evangelion, NERV designates Eva pilots singularly as "Children".

Therefore, Rei Ayanami is the First Children, Asuka Langley Sohryu (subject of many of my avatars) is the Second Children, and Shinji Ikari is the Third Children. Etc...

I picked Third Children because I liked how it sounds the best.

Yeah, the requirments for post count changed. It used to be at 1500 posts you could petition for a custom title but right as I was making 1500 posts the requirements were upped

so I have to keep going.

That's okay, we've got so many people now that at 1500 posts everyone and his dog would have CI and it would no longer be "kewl". I am a mod but of a small private forum (and a co-mod at that) so I think I'd need something a bit more substantial before petitioning.

My opinion on the custom title issue is that is should be merit-based, not necessarily post-count based. In the Army, most awards are merit-based, rather than longevity based (the Good Conduct Medal for enlisted men being an example of a longevity-based award).

I agree, but in the Army we have a scale of expectations and the brass are looking for people with initiative. Here it is a bit more of a commune (egad, I said that!?) and one must blow one's own horn in order to get a particular recognition and campaign for oneself.

However, one must have done enough for the community and aquired enough personal Juche to merit getting a CI or other award; a guy that shows up and posts 2,000 "me too" posts would find himself with no support among the masses when he petitions.
