I think that we should settle this the best and most appropriate way -

A mod-off.

Each prospective mod is given a hell-thread to moderate, examples include:

UT vs Q3,
C&C vs WC

and the undeniable champion

Consoles vs PCs.

The mod who works it all out best wins t3h pRiz3!

The beuty of that idea is it would reveal who really wants it.

I now have found out that my evil now pervades this forum as it should.

damn, I wanted to be a mod here too, but I have Universal Mod status.....

BTW no more death threats or campaigning or all such posts get split and sent to circular file.

after things are narrowed down some another thread will be opened for campaigning and voting ok?

Well it's not exactly a glamour job. A few mod powers doesn't necessarily lead to authority.

If I may make a suggestion, perhaps we should either 1) have a list of what will be deemed appropriate in this forum or 2) have perspective mods post what they feel should be deemed appropriate in this forum (WITH ABSOLUTELY NO ONSIDE COMMENTS. Make your statement and move on) for the Uber mods to use to make their decision as to who would be appropriate to mod this forum.

Also, I'd say there needs to be at least 3 mods with as many different subjects this forum is likely to have.
