OK, I'll admit that I doubt the Ducks can actually take this series, but it's always fun to see the underdog land a punch or two.

Are you sure your from the same reality as the rest of us? You by all rights should have self annihilated the instant you used "Cubs" and "Sox" in the same sentence.......(j/k)Darth Gojira wrote:Well, I am a fan of both Cubs AND Sox. C'mon gnome! Stop living in the past...pretty soon your gonna go on like a Hab fan talking about the good ole days in 1931!Darth Garden Gnome wrote:Silence infedel! Your sniveling remarks are not needed here. In fact, why don't you tell us where you're from? Or are you too embarrased at your team, hmmmm? Go on, I'll be more than happy to look up the stats for you.
Face it buddy man, you and your team can never match the glory of the Wings. Why? Four words: Stanley Cup Finals 2002. That is all that needs to be said.
The Wings' roster of players hasn't significantly changed from last year. The most notable exception is Cujo, whom replaced the EXCELLENT Hasek of 2002.Next of Kin wrote:C'mon gnome! Stop living in the past...pretty soon your gonna go on like a Hab fan talking about the good ole days in 1931!

They aren't playing as agreesively as usual is because they are OLD.Darth Garden Gnome wrote:The Wings' roster of players hasn't significantly changed from last year. Frankly, they shouldn't be too much different from last year, or the year before. Although they don't seem to be playing as aggresively as usual, I'm sure once we get into the big leauges they'll shape up. Be ready to lose on Sunday Ducks fans, the Wings are officially pissed.
I hear that; Larionov is like what, fifty?Ted wrote:They aren't playing as agreesively as usual is because they are OLD.
Why do you think we dumped Cujo? He wanted a contract with us that would last until he was over 40.
Actually Ted, Toronto didn't have a problem doling out the cash for Cujo. In fact, they were more than ready to meet Detroit's offer. Cujo was bitter that Pat Quinn benched him in favour of Brodeur during the Olympics and there was ill will between the two ever since. However, I say good ridance to Cujo. I'll take a goalie like Belfour any day who justs wants to play hockey and doesn't get caught up with the front office bullshit.Ted wrote: Why do you think we dumped Cujo? Try Yankees and Red Sox, or Eagles and Cowboys, and you'll be closer.HemlockGrey wrote:Sorta like being a fan of both the Yankees and the Phillies, eh?It is impossible to be a fan of both the Maple Leafs and the Red Wings. No, that would be my grandfather. Don't ask, he managed to pull it off. More like being a fan of the Eagles and the Giants. Still don't know if that's physically possible.HemlockGrey wrote:Sorta like being a fan of both the Yankees and the Phillies, eh?It is impossible to be a fan of both the Maple Leafs and the Red Wings.
