I am most displeased with these turn of events, AND I thought the game was on Sunday. But ya wanna know what? FUCK ANAHEIM. The Wings have been in worse situations, the superior team WILL pull through. Cujo needs to get up off his lazy ass and do what we're paying him for, or there won't be any Cujo in 2004. I can GURANTEE you that the Wings will be making a comeback for game 3, and they'll embarass Anaheim in there home town.

The Red Wings...Have gone up 2-0...they defeated anaheim 57-0 in todays game...we will defeat the Duck...hockeytown is still firmly under our control...

This is what happend, DGG, when you run your mouth too much...half the board is waiting (in the wings, so to speak--hah) for Detriot to lose so they can rub it in your face forever.

On the bright side, the Tigers won their first game today. So all isn't terrible in Detroit...well, except for the whole post-industrial wasteland thing and the white flight and Eminem and the like. And the Lions. And the Tigers. And the Pistons, probably, when it comes down to the stretch run.

Maybe everyone on Anaheim except for Paul Kariya and Adam Oates. The thing is though Anaheim has been such a Disney Token for these last few years that no one took them seriously. Then, by miracle, this year they get a GM who actually gives a fuck and used what little he had to build agood team.

THe Ducks made the playoffs in the more competitive western conference though. Other than Toronto I think the East has sucked the last few years.

SIDE NOTE: This is exactly what happened to the Angels. Disney put both teams up for sale then things suddenly improved

Giguerre hasn't always been there though, niether has Adam Oates but he is an accomplished veteran who was there at the beginning of the season.

Giguerre has come through huge though, problem is that he has to maintain in order for the ducks to continue to advance.
