Amusing radio call-in show quote

Post by Darth Wong »

A woman called into a radio talk-show yesterday and said of the Iraq war:
It was like the Jetsons taking on the Flintstones
I just thought that was funny for some reason.

It made me chuckle, just a bit.

Didn't they make a movie of this? Well, the Jetsons meeting the Flintstones, at any rate.

Well Mike, considering the subject of your website and it's type of match-up, I'm not surprised.

I'd say it's a pretty good analogy, but you can't take the United States and Iraq and make a cheap cartoon crossover like you can with the Jetsons and the Flintstones (And didn't they actually do that?).

I won't be surprised if they make a war movie about Gulf War 2 (or 3, if you count the Iran-Iraq war).

www.grudge-match.com already did Jetsons vs. Flintstones. The bedrockers bashed the futurians pretty badly.
