I also nominate Big Chris from Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. One of the best scenes in movie history, IMO, is when he beats that guy sensless for threatening his son. Pure bestial rage!!!

It's well established that Vinnie Jones is a hard bastard anyway. In real life he is just as hard. When he was playing for Leeds United he threatened Howard Wilkinson with a shotgun because he was dropped from the squad.

Joe Pesci's character in "Goodfellas" was sorta cartoonish, if in a brutal, very violent cartoon way
