Call for Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament Players to Form Clan <+SDnet+>

General Clan Description: We are a Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament Clan, Other Games to be added as they become popular. The Clan Tag Design is still Up For Grabs.

Quake 3 Specifics: We are looking for Q3 OSP players (DM, TDM, CTF; Instagib and Regular is okay) of All Skill Levels. I would like to be the Minister of the Quake Division of Clan <+SDNet+>

UT: I don't really play UT, but I'm assuming similar lines as with the Quake Division of the Clan. (HINT HINT: WE NEED A HARDCORE UT PLAYER AS MINISTER OF UT DIV.!)

I'm not hardcore enough with UT to be the head of it, but as I'm the person who suggested this in the first place, consider me a member.

EDIT: Oh, right... I'm guessing that the original UT would be the one played, and not UT2k3, due to the fact that it's really not that different, and that UT is a lot kinder to modem users. (Not to mention that a lot of us don't own UT2k3...) This thinking is sound, yes?

Clan tag should be {SDN}.

Dunno about Q3 (I have it, but it's not installed) but I'm in on UT for sure. Does anyone want to run a Linux UT dedicated server, or should we just go around randomly invading servers?

BTW, I guess I could lead the UT division. The nick I usually use is Freak'o'Nature.

I play q3, and I can install UT again. A clan would be nice, and we already have a board (sd.net) to organize if necessary.

The problem is, we don't have a server we could all connect to whenever we want.

What does OSP stand for anyway?

Note: I can play just about anything. My screenname is "glide".

I prefer UT far more than Q3. Quake's always been rather dull and uninspired in appearance, and the gameplay is to generic to catch my attention. UT has a ton of cool, fun stuff. *Redeemer Blast*

I don't play multiplayer much, but I'm good enough to handle numerous higher-level bots. And Facing Wrolds kicks royal ass; I was playing it 2v2 at a LAN party once, sniping the the point where they could barely get up the hill or into their own base.

UT it is. I have Q2, Q3, UT, and 2K3, but my machine isn't good enough for 2K3, and my M4D 31337 UT skillz, well, aren't!

Why be so narrow as to define it strictly as a Q3/UT clan? Why not have it be a general gaming clan, so that we can have divisions for any game?

Right, and if we're going to be running UT Original, we need to use UTPure. I think they're up to version 6.
