Yelena Avramenko told investigators that on Monday night, when she and her son had been alone at home, she had asked him to stop playing on the computer, after he had been busy on it for an extended period of time.

She said that he had not responded and had gone to lie down on his bed. She then asked him to make his bed, but again he did not respond, and then cursed her.

"And then I saw black," she told the interrogators, adding that she then went to the kitchen, took a knife and stabbed her son in his heart.

Originally, the family claimed that the son had collapsed and died after staggering into his parents' apartment.

She's obviously a blithering idiot; did she seriously think that the police would accept that explanation for a dead body with a knife wound in the heart?

This worries me. I spend too much time on the computer, and I hardly ever make my bed. On top of that, my mother has pills for a reason. I'd better make sure she keeps taking them.

Heh, I have Sarah set up at the foot of the bed. I don't have to get up to use the computer, so my bed can be made in a matter of seconds.

I believe that explanation was meant to imply that the son had been stabbed outside the house and was able to drag himself home before collapsing. That explanation would'nt hold up to any real scrutiny but it does account for the most superficial evidence.
