So T'Pol is actually a man and not a woman?

Actually if they want to pay attention to established continuity they would have Archer and Reed fight over her.
Brrrzzzzztt!!! Actually, it would be more logical in this case for T'Pol to fight another female crewmember for Archer. T'Pol/Hoshi catfight. Hoshi takes it.
And then T'Pol would die. Hey, things are looking up already.

I am unsure if it was ever stated that female vulcans DO NOT experience ponn farr. I think it was only said that males experience it every seven years, and no info was given on females having ponn farr per say. Correct me IF I am wrong though please, and let me know what was specifically said.

I think during the original ep, "Amok Time" it says somewhere that females can plook (whatever) when they choose.

Looking at it from a reproductive point of view, which is the whole point of mating. It does not really make sense for the males to experience a driving need to mate as it would for a female. Like with animals the females will generally only allow males to mount them if the female is in heat and wants to mate. The fact that the female is in heat makes the male want to mate, not the other way around. So female vulcans experiencing pon farr makes sense.

This is of course just a ploy to fulfill the fanboy/B&B desire to have a horny bimbo on the ship that slinks around and is fodder for adolescent fantasies.

They already implied it enough with T'Pol's silouette in Carbon Creek and numerous decon scenes throughout the series and Night in Sickbay... give it a rest already! Argghhh.. she's not even that attractive.

This really is stupid, almost as bad as the mind melders = gay AIDS victims thing, and introducing the Borg a few episodes from now (well that's worse) and the Ferengi and the Romulans as they already have.

Gosh dang it, can they spit on continuity anymore?

The whole point of Pon Farr is that it was secret kept from non-Vulcans, a total shock to everyone when Spock had it. I guess that's why the invented holodecks....

Was there ever any doubt about this?

Of corse If you REALLY want to try and make sense of it here are some theorys.

1: Vulcon emoutions are oviously closer to the surfice at this point in ST history, so it would make sense that they simply havn't evolved to the point of ST:O when only males have Pon-Far because they havn't reached that level of suppresion yet.

2: Archer's enormous charms make her horny

3: Living with humons she has some how let her control slip slightly bringing her back to a more primitive time when both sexes had ponfar

4: That mind-meld thingie syndrom

5: Phlox is slipping something into her medication that causes her smell to decrese but her sex drive to increse leaving her more vornable

6: She's pregnant

7: The problom influinces her because (well duh!) it's not exactly normal.

Notice: Vulcans can mate at any time, but Pon Far is when they MUST.

So a biological trait is suddenly at the whim of emotions?
2: Archer's enormous charms make her horny
And that has what, exactly, to do with altering her biology?
3: Living with humons she has some how let her control slip slightly bringing her back to a more primitive time when both sexes had ponfar
So you're saying that if I spent enough time watching trout, I'd suddenly be compelled to swim up a river and fuck a fish?
4: That mind-meld thingie syndrom
Which also has nothing to do with a male sexual cycles suddenly manifesting in a female. Spock mind-melded with his protege in ST:6. Are you suggesting he started menstruating shortly thereafter?
5: Phlox is slipping something into her medication that causes her smell to decrese but her sex drive to increse leaving her more vornable
Not knowing what "vornable" means, I really can't say.
6: She's pregnant
By whom? Porthos?
7: The problom influinces her because (well duh!) it's not exactly normal.
Which problem are you referring to? The problem of having her material written by half-witted crack fiends? You may be onto something.

So far, we have never heard of Vulcans mating other than when Pon Farr is mentioned. Pon Farr is only mentioned in reference to Vulcan males (so far) and has never, before B&B found their favorite bongs, been mentioned in reference to Vulcan females. You can find further reasons why the concept of female Pon Farr is moronic by RTFT.

Except that with Vulcans, it's apparently reversed. Males go into heat every seven years, whereupon the females get a cock in the socket. Works for the females, works for the males, works for the species, works for me.
