GR got a kiss because he did exactly what I asked; he said that they must be more comfortable than high heels, which means he actually considered what it'd feel like to have to squish your toes into pointy shoes and then walk around on the balls of your feet, cramping all the muscles in your foot ALL DAY LONG so that your legs will look good for the men who will happen to glance at them for a grand total of thirty seconds or so.

Anyway, I'm sorry you never get any lovin', RI. The half smile was me trying not to smile entirely because I was supposed to be arguing with you about begruding me the right to be comfortable, but I thought what you wrote was cute, so I was fighting off the smile. That's what that was. *kisses cheek* Feel better now?

Superman, they usually call me stuff like that. They're a bit afraid if they don't, I might disappear on them or something, I think.

All depends upon the lady at hand...some have the gaity to not have any problem, other don't.

Also depends upon how close you are to them and how close they want you to be.

Sweet thing to my girlfriends was easy enough to my co-workers...not so good(well okay a couple of them)

By the way Zaia, we look at legs for much longer than thirty seconds or so. Hell, we sometimes hide our eyes behind sunglasses so we can just stare and stare.

It's probably a bit of my own fault that I don't. I'm a timid sort of lad in real life, but that would be another thread in and of itself. And it DID make me feel better, though not for just the kiss on the cheek itself. It's more for the half smile itself, and the fact that you found a small slice of happiness in what I wrote. I generally try to do that for people, make their lives a tad happier, and thus ignore a LOT of things that happen around me (such as someone saying I'm funny just because I walk up, but in what I think is a good way, and being nice to someone who did something dumb while others are mean, etc.). Sadly, I kinda flopped on that today, for a number of reasons, but as stated earlier, that, too, is another thread by itself. :|

Just so y'all don't think all thongs are trashy and gross.

Superman: Good, I'd hate to think all that pain was for only 30 seconds. :D

RI: I think it's lovely that you go out of your way to be extra sweet to people. *hugs* I'm sorry you feel like you didn't live up to that today, but you definitely did make me smile, so I'm glad that makes you feel better, even if just a bit.

By the way, I am not much of a legs guy. I usually just stare at girls' chests (just so you don't think I am shallow). 8)

You know, they say smart guy's love legs ;-)

I dunno, there's something about the definition of a well-formed female leg that is simply stunning.

Ah, I was thinking more like the REAL simple flip flops. Those aren't the basic, crappy ones I was thinking of.

Thanks. Every little bit helps, especially right now (take a peek at my "Well, Prom is over..." thread for a bit of detail. Still not entirely over it yet...). Thanks. :D

I know. That's why you guys need to be a bit nicer when it comes to criticizing a woman's shoe collection. It costs SO MUCH to look decent!!

You know, even guys who put effort into themselves really don't have to pay nearly as much as women. Girly clothes are expensive...

Now living a body building lifestyle like I do, THAT is expensive...

HA! Goodness gracious.. girls own more pairs of shoes than I own actual pieces of clothes! But yes, I will say that shoes do sometimes help a girl look nice, even flip-flops can

Ahhh, of course. That's interesting to note, since my legs are ok, but my chest is pretty damn impressive. 8)

PS--These are a must-have for any women's shoe collection:

Exactly, Yosh! But some of the guys here don't give a shit about a girl's comfort and only want to see her in cute shoes. I bite my thumb at them. Harumph. I think we girlies deserve more comfort on our feet since we have to put up with things like heels, pregnacy, and pantyhose.

Well, my lady friends tells me it *is* possible to wear shoes that are comfortable without them having to be flip-flops- heck, they can even have a little bit of heel and still be comfortable to walk in, so :P

Being friends with a girl for five years, her likes and dislikes tend to rub off a little, and vice versa- she absolutely despises flip flops, so it's not just a guy thing. 8)

Also- biting one's thumb at someone .... :?

Sure it's possible. Anything's possible if you have enough money. I'm telling you that, on a teacher's salary, I don't like spending $150 on footwear that's comfortable when I can spend $40 on flip-floppy thongs that I enjoy wearing more.
Also- biting one's thumb at someone .... :?
Sorry, random Shakespeare reference. It shows disdain for someone. I think the actual quote is from R & J.....?
Ugh. Disgusting feeling.
Mmmmm, I love massages of all kinds. Yummmmmmy.

$70 for flip flops!?! I always though the stories of women spending a fortune on shoes were exaggerated... I guess not.

I think those 3 pairs there, between them, cost more than every pair of shoes I have ever bought combined.

$70 is mid-range for those kinds of shoes. There were some (that were positively ghastly) for around $150. Bleck.

You guys have it soooooooooooooooooooooo good, you don't even know.

Considering I'm of the "I only have one pair of shoes and I wear those till my parents start complaining that they're falling off my feet" school of though, yeah I guess I do have it easy in that department :D
