As summer is almost here, I will be home from college for a little while. This means I have to drive the minivan that my parents gave my brother and I after our mom got a new one. I'm getting tired of this thing. Anyone have any ideas on how to make a Mercury Villigar look evil, or at least much less feminie?

Cover it in astroturf. :D

Nah, seriously, who cares? If it runs, get over it. Who are you trying to impress?

Minivans have space. Space for friends, space for gear, space for leaning back and relaxing.

Screw impressing people. I drove a Chevette and I got plenty of dates and fun summer nights (although, I kept it clean. Clean is good. Clean is impressive).
Note: I'm semi-retired from the board, so if you need something, please be patient.

I second this

All I care about is how to get from A to B, with good gas mileage
"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

You could add fiberglass nacelles to the side for a ST shuttlecraft....

It's not the car, it's the man. A tough-looking guy in a minivan is far more intimidating than a pencil-necked geek in a rip-roaring sports car.

Just take out the rear seats, drop in a twin mattress and some sheets and dub it your 'pimp-mobile'. :D If anyone gives you a hard time about it, show em the inside and they'll understand. :) A killer sound system wouldn't hurt either.

... unless your a pencil-necked geek in a purple with pink striped minivan...

But I can relate with that image. During my summer job, I usually had to drive my bosses company Astro van around town to pick up parts. But believe you me no one made snide remarks or gave me that snooty look when they have to look up at me from their car to see a tanned, grease/oil covered guy with defined forearms while still having a buisness like part hairdo.

Moral of this story: get a tan, cover yourself in grease, and part your hair.

Small children, full grown adults, average-sized continents.. Is there anything Dalton won't eat?
