You'd have to change your AV if you take Rebel Leader, you know. It wont look good for the Rebel Leader to support the Imperials.

Bad Ted! That is not the Imperial symbol! It nine spokes and the center disc - which in Bendu mythology represents galactic unity. The Jedi and the Galactic Republic both used it.

(The Galactic Republic used a eight-toothed cog in the Sith Wars, though).

And since the proper term for the rebellion is The Alliance to Restore the Republic, it works quite well
