Where would one move? To the City? Frankly, the city life sucks diarrhetic shit.
That's a matter of opinion. I've lived in the city all my life, and it's difficult to imagine not doing it. Though I can and do appreciate the rural areas too. I might actually even enjoy living in the countryside, but it'd take some major getting used to.

There is that too.

I've been there for two years, in Vasa, got tired of it, especially the lousy water quality, I believe where I live we've been qualified to have maybe the best water quality in the world.

I guess it depends on individual preferences, where you like to live. My dad would probably prefer to live in the countryside, especially when he retires, he's like a caged animal if he can't get out of the city on weekends.

We do have best water quality in the world overall, but in some places you just get shitty water because of bad/inefficient plumbing. In my parents' flat it's simply impossible to get good water out of the taps, it's always horrible tasting, warm crap. The only time they get really cold water is out of the bathroom tap if the washing machine or the shower has been going for a good while. There is nothing wrong with the water quality in the basement sauna, though, it's the plumbing, bad setup (and decades old, the house was built in the 1910s). In my current place, the water that comes out of the taps is very good quality. I guess you just had shitty luck in that regard.

No, the water was ok in those respects, the problem was not due to plumbing, the water in Vasa anyway has an exceedingly high amount of "klor"(chlorine in english I think) in it, made me thirstier when I drank it and dried my skin up when I showered.

Now, water that comes right out of the ground from a cold underground spring, thats the stuff, we went and found on some years ago when there was some digging, it just flew out of the ground..

Ah, so it's a water department fuckup. That's annoying.

Yes, pure groundwater is the ultimate real deal, the well at our summer place has really excellent water in it, and it never really runs dry because it's located smack on top of a bedrock depression, so water always collects there. :D

You know, I should have contacted my brain for advice before I wrote that post. My uncle lives right overlooking the Don Valley parkway in a comfy old neighbourhood, with a pretty large piece of land and a decent-sized house that's been in the family for a very long time. Since the house has passed from father to son more than once, I don't know what the value is, but I recall him mentioning that he's had offers in excess of 500K.

So, I'll grant you the metropolis values are high. Ottawa is a damn sight better, but then, this is OTTAWA...hardly the urban playground that is Toronto. My wife and I bought our current house a few years ago; brand new house, good neighbourhood, lots of parks, good access location to transit. Cost us just shy of 220,000.
Note: I'm semi-retired from the board, so if you need something, please be patient.
