Where talking about a planet, not a ship, 1 bulk frighter requests clearence to land, as it comes down a squad of TIE Interspetors flys from the Hanger. The then race to the Geneator, and destroy it. Then the invation force arrives in orbit, and lands troops and ships though the hold, made by the TIE's.
See?

Only if the Rebels are stupid! They have detected an Imperial Probe Droid. They know the Imperials are coming if they don't know who you are there is no chance they will let your transport land, they may even send up some X-wings to blow it up or Ion Cannon it to death.

So you lot are saying, that on a normal day, on Mon Cal, One of many frighters shos up with clearence, and asked for permission to land and deliver its cargo, you then blast it appart. Don't that sound a little wrong?
As for decting the TIEs, use a GA Thrawn trick, cloke the Hanger bay of the frighter.

Do you realize how hard that would be since most rebel supply ships aren't told where they are going or have the only one who does on suicide watch. The Rebels are very good at moving things around and not having spies figure it out. A heavily defended place like Mon Cal would have multiple shield generators. Once you started to pull this the Mon Cal cruisers would kick your butt! Your plan has little chance of success.
