I don't think I've ever spent a chunk of change on something I never used...

Funk and Wagnals Encyclopedia aka Encarta: The Book. About $100. I know it's not really a toy, per se...

A few of my computer/GameCube games were utter crap, I'd estimate I've spent $300 on such games.

Wasn't there a full sized replica of an X-Wing fighter for sale around Christmas over 5 years ago? It was offered by the same people who were selling life-sized Storm Trooper replicas. The only thing was that the X-Wing cost over $100,000..

On a personal note I've spent $200+ each on replicas of Captain America's shield and Thor's hammer. They're good display items, the shield in particularly since it hangs on the wall.

So are they actually useless if I enjoy them as decorations? :)

Is there a bigger waste of money than a diamond ring?

Well, I suppose if you truly get a few thousand dollars of pleasure and enjoyment out of it, its not a waste.

But goddamn, they don't do anything but sit there on your finger.

Xbox a game and controller on lanuch day for $850
Only bought 1 (Morrowind) more game since then. I felt I've wasted my money. It's not that the hardware is bad but the games are all crap.

I'm using the most expensive thing i've ever bought right now. I am not one for big spending sprees on things i'll never use. Clothes are i supose my biggest sin. I love my suits. I own 4 suits, all in dark colours and all cost arround £350 - £450.

Bought them with in two years, grow bored of the game and forgot all about them. Now they are all locked in a luggage back in my parents garage, I haven't touched them in years. Fucking colossal waste of money.
