Stevie Ray Vaughn was one of the few guitarists who could come close to Hendrix in terms of technical skill (they could both play lead and rythm at the same time) and artistic virtuosity. Another one is an old blues guitarist from the thirties - the legendary Robert Johnson. Johnson was a natural genius at the guitarist as well, and was such a great natural musical talent that he could hear a song one time and play it back perfectly note for note.

I saw him last year; he played the main stage at the Blues/Jazz fest here. He's definitely an incredible player, esp being so young.

I once asked a beatiful girl for a dance to Wonderful Tonite (That's the title IIRC) and she said no. (Having also said no to Hello by Lionel Ritchie as well)

That song is now forever etched in my memory!

Ace Frehley, when he DID play on the KISS albums and didn't have to be replaced by a session guitarist bevcause he didn't bother to show up..
I liked how he made the guitar almost sing along with the song, and how he had a knack for coming up with catchy riffs.

Brian May has already been mentioned, but he does the same thing Ace does (or did). Damn good playing.

Steve Vai

What's the name of that guy from Dio? Vinnie something? He was good.

Well a man with Gene Simmons as his avatar has to go for Ace Frehley, I suppose.

And NO VOTING FOR DIO fucking midget that tried to replace Ozzy
