Main thing is still staying active. Of course, metabolism varies from person to person. I can eat like a pig and still not gain much weight... :P

I think the diet of H.P. Lovecraft would be the "all Long Pork" diet.

Thanks, guys.

You'e all confirmed what I thought about the Atkins diet, and everythign you've suggested instead I've already nagged my sis to death about.

Sje's very stressed at the moment anyway (first year teaching), and I doubt she has time for lots of exercise, but it would always be her comfort eating that would be the problem anyway.

She's done Weight Watchers, but they wanted her to start paying again after she regained the weight, so she left.
I just wish she's eat sensibly and comfort eat on fruit or something, but she's not letting herself have fruit because of that evil Aktins guy.

Makes you wonder about the toppings of the truly enormous amount of ice cream he ate. :D

It's the cannibal pseudonym for human flesh.

Why? She should have known about the "lifetime" program from the beginning. As long as you maintain your goal weight, WW is free once a month. But of course, if you slip up you're not going to get the program AGAIN for free until you return to you goal weight!

Sghe's a bit strapped for cash at the mo, because she's just got on the property ladder.
Of course, I don't know how much al that saturated fat and animal protein is costing her...

Doesm anybody knw anythign about it, specifically, how eating lots of fat is supposed to help her lose weight, and are fears linking it to scurvy founded?

How do I tell her she's an idiot without actually telling her she's an idiot (to which she won't listen)?
I do have an aunt that lost 200-300 pounds on that diet.

Just saying.

Fair enough, but the lady in question doesn't actually HAVE 200lb to lose...
We do have a family history of osteoporosis, though, which is why Wong's link has me worried...
