Is there any more news on Doom 3? I've saw a few very tasty screenies and heard a wee bit but does anyone have any solid information on the game thats cost me £450 before i've played it?

I think they fucked up the Hell Knights, but the Spider Mastermind looks fucking awesome. I can't wait to see the Cyber-Demon.

The new imps look amazing too, as do the zombies. I'm hoping to see some Lost Souls at some point...

If what the articles say is correct, and ID lives up to the expectations, many of us won't even get past the first few levels (out of 30 planned) simply out of sheer fright.

And I don't think the system specs are going to be as high as most think, since they use a lot of bump-mapping to make it look like all the things are high-polygon models.

If you have GeForce3 or higher, you can have per-pixel shading (the thing that gives individual lighting per pixel). If you have that, then you're set.

I only have a GeForce 2 and P3 933Mhz i just don't now if it is enough..
I still need to upgrade my computer anyway...

Ehem, if I remember correctly, that's the Arachnotron, not Spider Mastermind. The one on the pic has a plasma gun, which is what the Arachnotron has.

Spider Mastermind has a chaingun. And is MUCH bigger.

I've played Doom, Doom 2, and have also made maps for them. I've also used DeHacked to create new monsters, edit weapons, and do weird stuff like allowing the player to fly and stuff.

That good enough for you?
