Kelly, any kind of rough sketch would help, it doesn't have to be lovely looking to let me know what you mean. Rob draws like a retard but it was enough to convey what he meant, and we all know pictures are worth a thousand words. Give it a bash in whatever paint prog you have and mail me the result direct if you'd rather no one else saw it.
Roger that, Kenny.

What's this I hear about Kelly's drawings? Please post them, someone. :)

You're disturbed? I had to make the bloody thing! I'm colourblind and even I start having seizures when I look at it for too long. The problem with iridescent stuff is the choice and range of colours you use, as it can end up looking like a scientific analysis of stress or heat regions, or simply shagadelic as we have here. I think the gold weapons really set off the whole ensemble though, don't you think?

Okay, I've decided to attempt to nail down the specs for the Camaro. Basically it's a civilian ship that can easily double as a top-of-the-line fighter with some small modifications. The tech level is squarely Star Wars-level, with a few enhancements or concepts borrowed from other sci-fi.

Class: Camaro
Manufacturer: General Motors, Lockheed/Chevrolet Division
Type: Heavy Fighter
Model Year: 2998 (30th Century CE)
Lenght: 29.7 meters (taken from the MSPaint source with formula 1m=40px)
Mass: 100 metric tons
Hyperdrive Range: ~60000 lightyears unassisted or 24 hours full power
Speed:
Atmosphere: Mach 6 @ 1 Bar
Sublight: .3C
Hyperdrive: 2500 lightyears per hour (LyPH) approximately 21,600,000c
Crew: 4 (one pilot, accomodations for three passengers/gunners)

Power/Propulsion: One Quantum Singularity Hypermatter Reactor core, one Matter/Antimatter Gravitic Ramjet Engine, Ten Gravitic Drive Motors (six in wings, four in tail)

Weapons: Two Heavy Wing Gun Mounts (can accomodate one AK47X Mini Turbolaser weapon each), Two Light Wingtip Gun Mounts, One Medium Chin Gun Mount (designed for missile/torpedo launchers and railguns), 4 Standard Missile Hardpoints on Wings

Armor/Defense: 5cm Durasteel Hull, 1cm Quantum Crystalline Armor, Shields rated at 1MT (4.18E15 J) Burst, 500KT (2.09E15 J)

Obviously a ship with very advanced technology on par with Star Wars tech.

EDIT: Feel free to nitpick this to death. (ATTN: Engineers, hint hint ;))

Kelly Antilles wrote:I have a request. I'd like to see if someone can make a ship with a triangular cockpit, sort of like an Imperial shuttle with the wings pulled off and the body of a transport ship, something boxy looking.
Like a Sentinel class without the wings and tail?
Or more like the Delta DX-9 with a more pointed cabin section?

OR perhaps something like an ATR Assault transport with a more compact cabin area?

That the sort of things you mean? Or as Kenny suggested something like the Stargate Shuttles, but a more boxy cargo area rather than the continuation of the traingular cross-section they have.

DANGER! EXTREME FIVER TECHNOWANK! Four Kilometers of Gravitic-Engined Quantum-Singularity-Powered Trouble with a HUGE Weapons Array inspired by everyone from the Minbari and Centauri to the Vorlons and Shadows, all encased in a tasty hard Red Strawberry Carbonat-XII Candy Armor Shell. All the tech isn't watered-down, but full-bore First-One Tech. This thing'll eat Shadow 'Crabs for breakfast and considers a Minbari Sharlin to be a light snack.
