It has to be a melee weapon, its too difficult to defend yourself from a maniac with a gun. This way, you are potentially risking your life to do away with stupidity, because unless you'd rather risk death than allow the stupidity to continue, you aren't annoyed enough yet.

I've always been a tad patial to a Nodachi, nothing says 'awww fuck' like a 5 foot blade of death. Though I'd still go with a Katana.

Just a random remark: for inexpressable reasons I have always thought dual wielding wakizashis is among coolest fighting styles on earth.
