How many Starships ya got?

Post by Einhander Sn0m4n »

How many Starships do you 'own'?

Personally I have three.

1. Imperium-class Ultra Star Destroyer Quake III

notes: Gigantic 260km long super-battleship which has blood-red paint with giant black Quake sigil on upper hull; hull also has radiators all along the hull in intricate 'tribal tattoo' patterns and pagan symbols; when the ship fires, these symbols glow like burning fire. Also has Death Star-level firepower. Sn0's Main Base of operations.

2. EFNI Advanced Monitor EAS Valkyrie

notes: Cherry-red ship about the size of an ISD. Packs a massive short-range punch with its Fusion Cannons. Also adorned with similar tribal patterns as the Quake III. Sn0 uses this ship when he doesn't want to attract undue attention to himself as he arrives at a destination.

3. Chevrolet Camaro Blue Angel

notes: Looks like a Harmless Civilian PimpMobile™ with its garish oversized golden-colored all-bark-no-bite weapons array and iridescent paint scheme which can change colors and patterns depending on the pilot's mood. However, it definitely mustn't be underestimated. This ship is as much a weapon of war as it is a work of art and an instrument for getting love interests home to bed with, as the owner is quite apt to do... :) The weapons can easily shoot a hole through both sides of a ship ten times larger in one shot and keep going, and the engine has been modified for massively greater thrust and power output. This ship is one of the deadliest of its size in Known Space.

I am making a ships list for Rebellian/Supremacy. I think i'll borrow a large number of them from jenat-lai. Obviously some where themselves borrowed from EU.

If we just count the ones I have deck plans for on my computer, I have 54 different classes of ship. Unfortunately, two of them I know nothing about other than their deck plans. I have plans for another ship at home, thus giving me 53 classes of ship I know information about and have deck plans for.

And that's just from Spelljammer. I'm still working on designing a Battletech ship, and there's a couple Heavy Gear vessels I'm interested in. Nothing up to the Empire's technical capabilities yet, but I'm working on it. The shipyards are rapidly upgrading in capability.

I've designed quite a few, sometimes I give them old-school naval names, other times designations, or hybrids of both.

I don't have deckplans or pictures, but I've designed a rather large number of warships for miscellanous things (mostly the STGOD and SB's Great Game SD)

How old is this game anyways. The pictures on the official website looks alittle bit dated.

Not at all, but Jenat-lai just _HAD_ to hijack the thread...

These are starships from any and all sources, including TGODs and self-designed ships.

Hrm...

The Savior, an infected Sovieregn-class SD.

The Naggarok-II, first of the refitted and improved Naggarok Class, fastest capital ship in the STGOD mk1.

The Retribution, an ISD refitted to carry a scaled-down Superlaser. Terrified the PC's for a while in a tabletop.

Currently on my hard drive about six. Two from my own universe, they are gunships that resemble submarines in form and function. One includes a cross section, and the other is just the standard 3 views. I have one pre TOS ship with a cross section and one post TNG ship w/out cross section. Plus my interpertation of the YT-2000 with interiors. I have an early 21 or 22nd centuary solarsystem explorership that I am working on.

In my head, I got about a thousand  .
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

I figure I have about a 175-200 ship designs, about half are sci fi while the others are mostly for my Harsh Seas world.

I kitbashed some micromachines together- Jabba's sail barge, an AT-AT, an AT-ST, a speeder-bike, and three EU ships that came together. Couple of model parts out of my spares box, modelling putty, and some 3 coats of paint and I had meself an Executor killer. Looked a lot better than it sounds.

Could try.

The Savior was the flagship of my STGOD Mk 1 group. This was a huge convoy of refugees who went from universe to universe seeking peace and quiet. They included alot of Beast technology, from Homeworld: Cataclysm, and the flagship was no exception. I was sort of lacking in guns by the time it was finally retired, shortly before the beginning of the New Corellian Missile Crisis.

The Naggarok-II was completed just before the NCMC, though this didn't help much. Imagine the Cuban Missile Crisis only about ten times bigger. The vast majority of the STGOD's powers had forces in my single system, which certainly screwed up orbital kinematics. I would, however, emerge from this a superpower, thanks to a single shipyard and the magic of compound interest.

The Retribution was just the flagship of a psycho Imperial Admiral trying to carve out an Empire when I GM'd a D6 game.
EDIT: Thank you for gobstopping the thread hijack. :)
With pleasure.

Let's see....in the Star Wars Combine I had a few vessels....well....a fleet really....

Dark Star Class "Storm's Legacy" which replaced its sister ship "Dark Storm" after it was 'destroyed' when I siezed leadership of Black Sun from the owner of the other vessel....in terms of firepower etc its comperable to an ISD with slightly smaller size, hanger and a marginally faster hyperdrive. It was my official flagship during my time as the Prince of the Underempire.

Three Dreadnaughts I cant remember the names of these off the top of my head though the heads of my three divisions were each given one to use as thier command ship.

A dozen YV-666 class light carriers, while in the real SW's this class isnt a light carrier in the combine its got the shielding of light capital class and the capacity to carry more than three squadrons of light fighters...made it one in my book.

A dozen CR-90 Corvette's generally used for protection of my rather large transport fleet which was a major part of my power in the universe along with owning about 50% of the businesses at one point.

I also had a pair of Nebulon-B frigates, six bulk cruisers, a handful of heavily armed transports and a large fleet of standard transports.

To go with the capital class vessels I had around 500 fighters and small armed freighters such as the YT-2400. A large number of these were the very heavy Trillian-Agressor class (IG-2000)....

Come to think of it, my personal forces v. Star Trek might be fun.....
